Animal Crossing New Horizons: Turkey Day Event Guide

Animal Crossing New Horizons received an additional two events in the Winter Update. These two events are Turkey Day (in honor of American Thanksgiving) and Toy Day (in honor of Christmas). The first event, Turkey Day, takes place on November 26th. On this date on your island you will encounter a new NPC called Franklin in the town-square between 9 AM – . Turkey Day Recipes Guide

To complete the Turkey Day event you need to help Franklin as he cooks up different Turkey Day meals. These meals require you to provide specific normal and unconventional ingredients to Franklin so he can make each of the dishes. Focus your time on making the normal dishes first then do the unconventional afterwards.

Normal Ingredients for Recipes

The following recipes listed below make the standard dishes for Franklin. When you speak to him he will tell you exactly what he needs to make each dish. All of the items listed below are in-season. This means they are simple to acquire. The only one you may need help getting is the Pumpkin which can be received from townsfolk.

• Clam Chowder: 3x Manila Clams.
• Pumpkin Pie: 1x Orange Pumpkin and 1x Green Pumpkin.
• Gratin: 1x Skinny Mushroom and 1x Mussel.
• Fish Meuniere: 1x Sea Bass and 1x Dab.

Unconventional Ingredients for Recipes

Alongside the recipes above there are secret ingredient recipes you can make. These special recipes are more hidden to determine and are not mentioned by Franklin. Instead to determine what goes in each dish you need to speak to townsfolk in their homes. Each of the secret ingredients below can be acquired from their traditional sources or by trading ingredients with townsfolk in their houses. Once you have a secret ingredient give it to Franklin to make the special dishes below:

• Clam Chowder: 1x Scallop.
• Pumpkin Pie: 1x White Pumpkin and 1x Yellow Pumpkin.
• Gratin: 1x Dengeness Crab.
• Fish Meuniere: 1x Barred Knifejaw.

Turkey Day Rewards

Each time you make a dish with Franklin you receive a special Turkey Day reward. These rewards are various items you can use to decorate your house for the holiday.

• Chair.
• Table.
• Wall.
• Flooring.
• Wheat Decor.
• Turkey Day DIY Recipe Collection (All Unconventional Recipes Completed)
  • Garden Stand.
  • Hearth.
  • Casserole.
  • Table Setting.
  • Decorations.

These are all the available rewards you get from completing this seasonal event in Animal Crossing New Horizons. It is a shame Nintendo decided to wait until the day-of to reward players that wanted to get into the holiday spirit.
