These tools vary in functionality but should be pursued in order to gain access to the different resources on your island. One resource you will want to tap into is flowers. To help you grow flowers you will want to get a Watering Can. Below I will show you how to make a watering can in Animal Crossing New Horizons.

How to Get the Watering Can Recipe

Advance your way through the tutorial until you have full access to the island. Once you’ve done this head to the Nook tent and complete the DIY Workbench tutorial that makes a fishing rod. Upon completion of this tutorial you will unlock a few new recipes including the net. Make a net then use it to capture bugs on your island.

Once you’ve captured 5 creatures (bugs and fish), head to Tom Nook in the Nook tent and show the bugs and fish to him. Agree to give the bugs and fish to the museum and Tom will reward you with the flimsy watering can. To make this item you need to the following:

Once crafted the watering can will be added to your inventory. Using the watering can on flowers you plant will reward you with variety of new colors and types. You will want to explore this mechanic to its full potential as flowers can be a nice Bell generating business.
