In Animal Crossing New Horizons you will spend a ton of your time juggling between different tools as you are out and about gathering resources. This juggling can be a bit of a struggle in the beginning as you will need to access your inventory to change between tools. With that said I do have good news for you. Become a Member of the Nook Miles+ Club

Before you can take exotic trips to other islands you will need to do some work. First off you need to pay off the initial move-in debt of 5000 Nook Miles. To do this simply complete the various activities on the Nook Miles page to earn Nook Miles. Once you have enough return to Tom Nook and pay off your debts. Once the debt is paid off you should take on the loan for a new house. Upon taking on this loan Tom Nook will promote you to the Nook Miles+ club. This club gives you access to purchase items with Nook Miles from the Nook Stop.

How to Change Tools Quickly in Animal Crossing New Horizons?

Once you have access to the Nook Miles store in the Nook Stop head to the automated machine and select Redeem Nook Miles. On this next screen you will see a selection of items for purchase with Nook Miles. The item we want to purchase is the Tool Ring: It’s Essential. This item sells for 800 Nook Miles. When purchased the Tool Key allows you to push ^ to access your Tool Ring. From the Tool Ring you can easily switch tools on the fly without having to access your inventory. Having this ability is a game-changer as it greatly speeds up resource collection.

To speed up the resource gathering process you will want to pick up the Tool Ring. This item allows you to quickly swap between tools on the fly. In a game where you can dump hours of your time, every little bit of time save helps.
