5 Things to Do After Beating South Park: The Fractured But Whole

The Black Mastermind difficulty.

Congrats, new kid, you’ve completed South Park: The Fractured But Whole! But now, you might be wondering—what’s next? Fortunately, there’s plenty to keep you busy even after the main story wraps up. Whether you’re aiming for 100% completion or just want to revisit South Park for more laughs and challenges, here are 5 things to do after beating South Park: The Fractured But Whole.

1. Wipe Every Freckle Off of Morgan Freeman’s Smug Face (Boss Fight)

  • Location: Freeman’s Tacos

Reward: Farts Over Freckles Achievement, Golden Taco Artifact, $11.18

Note: If you’re playing as a Black character, Freeman won’t fight you. To trigger the fight, you’ll need to change your character’s ethnicity through PC Principal.

Morgan Freeman is a hidden boss fight in the game, and although you can technically face him before the game’s finale, you’re likely not strong enough to win earlier on. Now that you’ve completed the game and leveled up your character, head to Freeman’s Tacos, make your way behind the counter, and strike Freeman three times to trigger the boss fight. This battle is easily one of the toughest in the game, so come prepared.

2. Play Through the Game as a Black Mastermind

Achievement: Black Mastermind Achievement (Playthrough on Mastermind Difficulty)

South Park: The Fractured But Whole stirred up controversy due to its race mechanic, but once the game was released, players found that changing your character’s skin color affects NPC interactions rather than the overall difficulty. However, there is an achievement tied to completing the game as a Black character on the hardest difficulty, Mastermind. If you’re looking for a challenging experience and a new way to approach the game, this is the perfect post-game challenge.

Tip: Mastermind difficulty is no joke, so make sure you’re well-prepared before attempting this playthrough. If you need help with battle strategies, check out our guides to optimize your gameplay.

3. Complete Side Quests and Collectibles

Reward: Various Achievements, Experience, and Collectibles

There are numerous side quests scattered throughout South Park that you may not have completed during the main story. Many of these are tied to achievements and collectibles, and if you missed some during your playthrough, now’s the perfect time to go back and check them off. You’ll find everything from battling aliens to helping characters with their personal problems, and don’t forget to look for rare items and artifacts.

Tip: If you’re looking for a quick way to speed through the side quests, our side quests guide can help you track down all the locations and objectives efficiently.

4. Find Selfies You Probably Missed

Reward: Additional Experience, Achievement Progress

One of the most fun and time-consuming activities in the game is collecting selfies with the various characters around South Park. When I finished my first playthrough, I had 85 out of the 100 possible selfies. If you’re going for 100% completion, you’ll need to find those selfies you missed. Some characters, like the Banker, require you to complete certain tasks or side quests before they’ll take a selfie with you.

Tip: Be sure to check places you may have overlooked, like behind NPCs or in harder-to-reach locations. You might even want to use the in-game map to revisit places where you haven’t yet interacted with key characters.

5. Collect All Costumes

Reward: Cosmetic Customization and Achievement Progress

Costumes are a fun way to customize your character’s look, and there are plenty of them scattered throughout the game. If you didn’t fully collect them during the main story, now is your chance. Many costumes are locked behind challenges or special missions, and some are hidden in the far corners of South Park.

Tip: You can find costumes by completing specific side quests, beating certain bosses, or simply exploring areas you might have missed. Be sure to check out the costume shop and hidden locations around the map.

Bonus: DLCs to Extend Your Playtime

If you’ve completed the main story and are looking for more, South Park: The Fractured But Whole offers several DLC packs to enhance your gameplay. Here’s a quick rundown:

  • Relics of Zaron: Adds costumes and perks inspired by The Stick of Truth. ($4.99)
  • Towelie: Your Gaming Bud: Towelie joins as a helpful combat buddy. ($1.99)
  • Danger Deck: A series of tough combat challenges to test your skills. ($5.99)
  • From Dusk Till Casa Bonita: Explore Casa Bonita in a new mission with Mysterion’s sister. ($11.99)
  • Bring the Crunch: Adds a new superhero class and story missions. ($11.99)
