The Witcher 3 Grandmaster Ursine Set
The Witcher 3 DLC Blood and Wine added a whole new tier of armor to the game, Grandmaster. There are now a total of 5 Armor Sets which can be upgraded to ‘Grandmaster’ status. In order to have access to these armors, players need to meet the Grandmaster Armorer in Beauclair, the capitol of Toussaint. Meeting him triggers your quests to find the diagrams needed to make Grandmaster equipment. The following is a walkthrough showing how to get the Grandmaster Ursine Armor.
Where to Find the Grandmaster Ursine Armor, Silver Sword & Gauntlets Schematics
Once the set mission is started, you will be asked to explore a ruined home in Flovive, north-east from Beauclair. The house is big red house that appears to be collapsing into the ground. Along the backside of the house (where there is a bit of a sinkhole) is a rock wall which can be destroyed using AARD. Clearing the stone reveals a cave. Inside the cave on the right is the first 3 schematics inside a chest.
Where to Find the Grandmaster Ursine Steel Sword, Boots & Trousers Schematics
Once you’ve looted the three schematics, you will receive Charite Gontran de Tufo’s journal. The journal tells you to go to a nearby lake to look for a cave. Inside the cave there is a couple centipedes you will have to fight. Follow the Witcher symbols, fight the Centipede at the end of the tunnel and loot the corpse there to get the 3 remaining schematics.
Grandmaster Ursine Set Crafting Recipes
Once you’ve acquired the different pieces schematics and returned to the Grandmaster Armorer you will need to proved different materials to build the different pieces of the set. What are the Grandmaster Ursine Set Bonuses?
The Grandmaster Ursine armor is in the Heavy Armor class and increases your adrenaline point gain as well as providing protection from all types of damage. The set features special bonuses for wearing 3&6 pieces of the set. Details of the bonuses are located below.
3 pieces bonus:
“When Quen Shield shatters there is a chance a new one will be cast at no stamina cost. The bonus increases by 5% for each piece of set.”
6 pieces bonus:
“Damage dealt by abilities involving the Quen sign increase by 200%.”
Grandmaster Ursine Console Commands
Those of you who have no interest in actually getting the armor legitimately, can use good old console commands. Now accessing console commands is not in the vanilla version, but mods are available. Input these to grab the armor + weapons if you are lazy.
