In Elden Ring there are a number of very powerful skills players can find and use. One of the more powerful skills in the game is the Hoarfrost Stomp. This Ash of War stomps the ground and shoots out icy spikes at you enemy. There are two ways to get this Ash of War. Below I show you where to get Hoarfrost Stomp in Elden Ring.

Where to Get the Icerind Hatchet

The first method to acquire this Ash of War is to get the weapon this Ash of War is attached to. The weapon it is on is the Icerind Hatchet. This hatchet is found in the Temple Quarter named location to the southwest of Raya Lucaria in the Liurnia region. When you are at this location go to the south and you will find a church that has sunk into the swamp, with only the tower showing. In the tower is a chest that has the Icerind Hatchet in it.

Where to Get Hoarfrost Stomp

If you want more build flexibility you can snag the actually Ash of War for Hoarfrost Stomp instead. This Ash of War is located in the small pond to the southeast of Caria Manor. At this pond there is an illusionary treasure beetle (the white footsteps). Intercept its path and hit it. Defeating this beetle unlocks the Hoarfrost Stomp.

The beauty of this weapon art is that it does frost damage. Frost is one of the most powerful damage types currently in the game. Frost damage builds over time so you can deal some serious damage using this stomp attack. If you spam the stomp you will build up Frost, which can lead to Frostbite damage that deals a large chunk.
