Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a new addition to the Borderlands universe and it has a lot of similarities to the base series. Like the game’s before this title is a looter-shooter with tons of items to pick up and collect. Since you are picking up a ton of items, having ample backpack space is key. How to Hold More Items and Ammo

Important: You go to the Blacksmith as part of the main storyline. This occurs when you visit Brighthoof for the first time after you “free” it.

If you are a veteran to the Borderlands series you will immediately recognize the system from previous games. Basically you need to purchase SDUs from the Blacksmith’s Forge. The Blacksmith is an NPC you unlock in Brighthoof upon completion of the third level called Shattergrave Barrow.

Once you’ve completed Shattergrave Barrow you restore Brighthoof, turning it into the game’s Sanctuary. Upon doing this you can visit the Blacksmith’s Forge to buy SDUs for your backpack, weapons, Lost Loot and Bank.

Each time you buy and SDU the price increases for the next SDU of that type. Buying an SDU improves the capacity of whatever the SDU is for. The later upgrades become fairly expensive, so be on the lookout for money.

To start I recommend focusing on purchasing Backpack SDUs. This frees you up to grab everything you find while you are exploring. You can then sell off what you don’t need and use the spare cash to buy other SDUs.
