What’s New in Vampire Survivors Patch 0.4.2

It’s that time of the month when Vampire Survivors adds new content to the game. The game’s new Patch 0.4.2 features a number of new additions to the game which players can complete and unlock. The post below walks you through what’s new in Vampire Survivors Patch 0.4.2.

New Characters: Bianca Ramba, Leda, and Toastie

This patch has added a new character called Bianca Ramba. This character is unlocked by defeating 3,000 Ghost Elemental enemies that are found on the Diary Plant stage. Once the enemy total is defeated you unlock Ramba, an ethereal ghost looking character.

Ramba starts with a new weapon item called the Carrello. The Carrello shoots minecarts horizontally. Alongside this starting weapon, Ramba also has a passive which gains more projectiles every 20 levels up to max +3.

Runetracer Evolution

Everyone’s favorite Inlaid Library stage weapon, the Runetracer, finally has its own evolution. To evolve the Runtracer you need to reach Runetracer +8, pick up the Armor passive item, and reach 10 minutes into a run. Once this criteria is met open a chest and you will receive the evolved form called the No Future. The No Future has the same effect as the Runetracer, but the projectiles explode when bouncing and in retaliation.

New Stage and Stage Relic: Gallo Tower & Sorceress’ Tears

The developers added a new stage in Patch 0.4.2 called Gallo Tower. This new stage is unlocked by reaching character Level 60 on the Dairy Plant stage. This stage is a vertical design. It’s a similar concept to the Inlaid Library, but vertical instead of horizontal. The stage also features a number of new enemy types brand new to the game. There is also a new Giant Enemy Crab boss to fight on this stage.

In the Gallo Tower there is a special relic you can find called the Sorceress’ Tears. This relic, when found, unlocks the Hurry mode. The Hurry mode can be toggled on and off on the Stage select screen. When toggled on it condenses the 30 minute experience down to 15 minutes instead.

7 New Achievements

Would it be a new update without achievements? There are 7 new achievements to unlock in Patch 0.4.2. These achievements are guides to help you find the above listed unlocks. There are also a couple additional ones you can unlock as well:

• Banish 2: Fill 60 Entries in Collection (unlocks Banish ability when selecting items).

• Sorceress’ Tears: Find the Sorceress’ Tears relic.

• Gallo Tower: Reach Level 60 in Dairy Plant.

• No Future: Evolve the Runetracer.

• Binca Ramba: Defeat a total of 3000 Milk Elementals.

• Hyper Gallo Tower: Defeat the Giant Enemy Crag in the Gallo Tower (unlocks Hyper mode).

• Reroll 3: Reach Level 100 with Bianca Ramba.

These additional achievements bring the total count to 72. This total amount will change as the developers have promised to support the game with additional content for the foreseeable future.
