During the Lantern Rite event in Genshin Impact there is a special item you can collect called Festive Fever. This item is fairly important to collect if you wish to see all this event has to offer. Festive Fever Progress Bar
When you start the Lantern Rite event in Genshin Impact it can be a touch overwhelming. There are a lot of moving parts to this event and not a ton of explanation. Festive Fever is one such mechanic that doesn’t really get much of an explanation.
Basically Festive Fever is an unlockable XP system you use to level up the Lantern Rite. If you navigate to the events overview page and highlight Lantern Rite you will see the page above. This page features the different activities you can take part in during the event. Near the top of this page there is a progress bar. This progress bar tracks the Lantern Fever you’ve collected so far. You will want to completely fill the Festive Fever bar to unlock everything this event has to offer. It has three level:
- We’ve Only Just Begun.
- Guests Flock From Afar.
- Glow of a Thousand Lanterns.
Reaching the Glow of a Thousand Lanterns level earns you the ability to unlock a character using 1000 Peace Talisman (earned from the Tower Defense mode). The six characters you can choose from are: Xiangling, Xinyan, Beidou, Ningguang, Xingqiu, and Chongyun. This can be done via the Stand by Me menu accessible through the Lantern Rite event overview page.
How to Earn Festive Fever
To earn Festive Fever is fairly straightforward. On the page shown above there is a collection of side quest called Lantern Rite Tales. These timed quests involve completing specific activities for the different townsfolk who are taking part in the event. Many of the quests will task you with collecting certain items, talking to certain people, or going to certain locations. Once you complete one of these quests you will receive some Festive Fever as a reward. As you complete these side quests and the main story quests of Lantern Rite you will unlock higher level Lantern Rite Tales sets (II and III).
