If you’re eager to uncover all the new content, our comprehensive Vampire Survivors The Darkasso guide below will help you unlock everything.
How to Unlock Challenge Room 1665
In The Darkasso update, players can unlock a new Challenge Stage called Room 1665. There is no traditional unlock requirement for this stage.
Instead, you need to use the Secrets menu to input the spell forbiddenbox. Doing this unlocks the new challenge stage and the EXTRA: Room 1665 achievement.
The first time you input this code, you’ll immediately start the new challenge stage. Afterward, it will also become available in the Stage Selection menu.
How to Unlock the Darkasso Relic and All Five Darkanas Cards
The main features of the Darkasso update are the Darkasso Relic and its five Darkanas cards, which function similarly to Arcanas but come with unique themes.
To use the Darkanas cards, you’ll need to first locate and collect the Darkasso Relic. This relic is found at the bottom of Room 1665. As you advance through the stage, defeating 100 enemies will cause a door to open, leading you to the next room. Continue this process until you reach the 18th and final room, where you’ll find the Darkasso Relic. Collect it to unlock it.
Once you’ve acquired the Darkasso Relic, you’ll gain the ability to use the Darkanas cards and earn the EXTRA: Darkasso achievement. Additionally, you will automatically unlock the first Darkanas card, VI – Moonlight Bolero, along with the EXTRA: VI – Moonlight Bolero Achievement.
How to Unlock the Other Four Darkanas Cards
After obtaining the Darkasso Relic and the first Darkanas card, you can unlock the remaining four Darkanas cards available in this update. The unlock conditions for these cards are detailed on the Unlocks screen and are as follows:
- I – Sapphire Mist: Achieve a cooldown bonus of -85% with Space Dude.

The two new skins available in this update are:
- Unblinded Imelda Belpaesa: Unlock by completing the adventure World of Light and Dark.
- Retired Poe Ratcho: Unlock by completing the adventure A Garlic Paradise.
If you’ve already completed these two base game adventures, simply open the Adventure menu to receive the skins. If not, complete the adventures to unlock them and their two achievements.
There is another alternative way to unlock them by using Spells instead. Check out our Spells page for the codes you can input to unlock them.
How to Unlock the Darkasso Update Secret Character
No update is complete without a secret, and the Darkasso update brings a new special character: Bats Bats Bats. Unlock this character by solving the secret riddle: “It’s as simple as ABC; obtain the ring of rings.”
To solve the secret riddle and unlock Bat Bats Bats, collect 9 Gold Rings in Bat Country. These rings are found to the right of the spawn point. Once you’ve collected all 9 rings you can purchase Bats from the Character Selection screen.
