Matters of Heart Guide – The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan
With Junior returning to normal we cut to Alex and Fliss in the control room of the ship. This starts the final chapter of The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan. Complete this final chapter using the Matters of Heart guide below.

Matters of Heart – Alex
When you take control of Alex you will be inside the Radio Room. Alex will speak with Fliss about going down into the Depths. Alex will drop down. As soon as Alex drops down he Olson will appear. Complete the KEEP CALM QTE. Head down the corridor.
At the end of the corridor enter the room. And go down the stairs. Walk forward to the floor in the in the corridor and jump across using the QTE: Triangle, X, Square. On the other side a a cutscene triggers. Olson is being killed by the Mansurian Gold Mist. After this revelation Alex and Fliss will split up.
Collectible: Secret #2: Top Secret Intelligence Note
Note: I highly recommend making a backup save here since the next sequence can screw you over.
Walk through the corridor with Alex until you reach a door. Go inside the door to reach the kitchen. Inside the kitchen you will find the Secret #2: Top Secret Intelligence Note next to a corpse. Grab the collectible and continue forward into the next room.
In this next room you will find Olson being eaten by rats. This triggers a sequence. you need to complete:
- QTE: R2, R2, Square, Circle, X.
- Alex will leave the room and run right into a demon. Do not attack.
- BEWILDERED: “Who are you?”
- DO NOT ATTACK EITHER YOURSELF OR THE DEMON. LET THE TIMER END.
If you complete the sequence successfully as mentioned above you will finish the mission and the final cutscene will roll. At the end of the cutscene the That’s something, I suppose Achievement/Trophy will pop. You will also unlock the Curator’s Cut which offers an alternate path through the story.
