Resident Evil 4 Remake Jewel Thief is a Merchant Request players can complete in Chapter 12. This request tasks you with finding a Scratched Emerald that was stolen by a Crow. This Crow is somewhere in the Castle and you must find its nest to find the gem. To help you complete this request see our Jewel Thief guide below.

Jewel Thief Request Location & Details

At the start of Chapter 12 go up the elevator. When you walk off the elevator turn to your left. Look along the wall to your left and you will see two Blue Request Notes. They are The Disgrace of the Salazar Family and Jewel Thief. Grab both. Read the Jewel Thief details:

  • Request: Sell a Scratched Emerald.
  • Area: Courtyard.
  • Reward: Spinel x3.

To complete this request you need to find the Crow’s nest somewhere in the Courtyard area. To help you find it see the exact location of the next and the missing gem below.

Scratched Emerald Location

Backtrack through the Castle all the way back to the Courtyard. Pass through the Courtyard and head over to the Merchant. As you are going to the Merchant look up and you will see the nest on the Castle rooftop. Shoot it then go up and collect the Scratched Emerald that it drops.

Once you’ve picked up the Scratched Emerald, return to the Merchant and sell the gem to him. He will thank you for completing the request and will give you Spinel x3 as a reward. Spinel can be used to Trade with the Merchant for special items.
