Remnant 2 Postulant’s Parlor Game Puzzle
The Remnant 2 Postulant’s Parlor game is a puzzle players can complete in the Postulant’s Parlor location of Losomn (accessible using the Magic Quill). This puzzle tasks you with playing a tic-tac-toe style game against the Postulant. Completing this puzzle correctly gives you access to both a weapon and an armor set. How to Play the Postulant’s Game
To play the Postulant’s game sit at the table. When you do this your view will shift to a 9-square game board. There are 6 pieces on the board, 3 black and 3 white. You are the white pieces and the Postulant is the black pieces. The goal of the game is to make a three piece line of your pieces either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
Both you and the Postulant take turns moving one piece to an empty spot. If the Postulant wins, you are Cursed, which lowers your total HP. The Curse debuff stacks, so you can end up severely lowering your characters Max HP if you keep losing. If you manage to win against the Postulant you complete the quest for this area. This gives you access to the room behind him which features a special weapon.
One thing that you should note is that the game board controls the doors in the Postulant’s Parlor map. The Postulant’s pieces (black) close doors while your pieces (white) and blank spaces open them. You can explore the Postulant’s Parlor map by placing your pieces on doors you want to open.
Fae Royal Armor Set Location
The first game we will play against the Postulant is so we can snag ourselves the Fae Royal Armor Set. This armor set is located in the top right room of your map. This is the top right square on the game board. To reach the right room move your pieces to make a path like what is shown on the screenshot above. Once you’ve done this leave the board (you don’t have to finish the game).
Leave the table and follow the path you created with your pieces and empty spaces. Go over to the open room and you will find the Fae Royal Armor set waiting for you on a statue. Interact with the statue to receive the full armor set. It is added to your inventory when you interact with it. Go back to the table to play the Postulant again.
Royal Hunting Bow
Because the Postulant doesn’t play the same move every time you play the game it is hard to give you an exact move set to make a line of your pieces. When you play him just keep your eyes open for any shot at a vertical, horizontal, or diagonally line. If you see one available, move your pieces to create it.
If you do manage to create a straight line of pieces you will complete the quest for the area. This opens the door directly behind the Postulant. Inside the room is the Royal Hunting Bow weapon.
Even after you complete the quest you can continue to play the Postulant. You may wish to open other doors in the area to explore. Other rooms contain a Tome of Knowledge and a Cracked Mod.
