Ahead of its April release date, Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 has released an interesting commercial featuring Mommy Long Legs. Let’s take a closer look at the teaser trailer below.

Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 Mommy Long Legs Teaser Trailer VHS

The teaser out of MOB Games starts out like a standard toy commercial. This commercial features three kids playing with the Mommy long legs doll. Mommy long legs is likely the main antagonist in the upcoming Poppy Playtime Chapter 2: Fly in a Web. She was first shown in the Chapter 2 trailer back in February.

Mommy Long Legs is, as her name suggests, a large spider-like doll. This doll features stretchy limbs that are similar in nature to the real-world toy called Betty Spaghetty from the 1990’s. The commercial highlights Mommy Long Legs stretchiness and hints at the creepiness of this doll.

After the commercial finishes the tape bugs out. We then see few sequences from the upcoming chapter and Poppy then speaks to you urging players to “wake up.” Players are then urged to wishlist the game on Steam ahead of its mid-late April planned release.

To keep up with Chapter 2’s progress your best source is to go on the game’s official Discord. Here you will find news and screenshots from the development of the game. The developers have released a number of screenshots of the upcoming chapter already.

While not much is known about Chapter 2 we do know that it will be significantly longer than Chapter 1. We also know that it will feature more exploration, tougher puzzles, and more voice lines. The chapter will also answer a major lore question.
