Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet Mew Code
In Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet Mew can be acquired for a limited time. This limited time event runs from August 7th-September 18th and while it is active players can input a special Mystery Gift Code to snag themselves a Mew.
How to Get Mew in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet
Getting Mew is very simple to do. While the event is active simply connect to the internet and login to your copy of Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet. Once you’ve logged into the game you need to input a special Mystery Gift Code. The process to follow is this:
- Open Menu in-game and select “Poké Portal.”
- Choose Mystery Gift.
- Choose get with Code/Password.
- Input the code “GETY0URMEW” (o is a zero).
- Choose Mythical Pokemon Mew Gift.
Upon receiving the gift you will see a short cutscene where Mew is received. After this cutscene Mew will appear either in your Box or party depending on how much space you have available.
The Mew you get comes in a normal pokeball. It has a random Tera Type to go along with its base Psychic type. Players that use Mew in the upcoming Mewtwo 7-Star Raid between September 1-17 will witness something special. This means you will need to spend time levelling it up between now and the raid.
Mew is number 151 in the Pokédex, a Psychic-type Pokémon known for its telekinetic prowess, empathetic communication, and remarkable move-mimicking abilities. Its enigmatic nature and unique skill set have solidified its reputation as a captivating embodiment of universal mysteries.
