To unlock Penny’s 14 Heart Event, you’ll need to build your relationship with her up to 14 hearts. Starting from 0 hearts, you’ll first need to develop a friendship by giving her gifts she loves and interacting with her daily. Once your relationship reaches 10 hearts, you can propose to her using a Mermaid’s Pendant.

After marriage, you should be at 10 hearts. From there, continue to nurture your relationship by giving her favorite gifts to increase your hearts to the maximum of 14.

How to Do Penny’s 14 Heart Event

To start Penny’s 14 Heart event enter the farmhouse between 3pm and 7pm when she’s home. When you enter your house you will trigger a cutscene.

Choose How to Re-decorate Your Bedroom

Penny will ask you about re-decorating the bedroom.

Upon entering your house, you’ll trigger a cutscene where Penny will greet you and ask if you’ve had a good day. Respond to her, and she will hug you before talking about her desire to re-decorate the bedroom.

Penny will present you with several theme options for the re-decoration:

  • Forest and Moon: Peaceful Blue
  • Strawberry Home
  • Pirate Theme
  • I don’t want any changes (choosing this option will end the event)

Select a theme that you prefer. Penny will mention that she needs a few days to complete the re-decoration. You can then continue with your daily activities in Stardew Valley.

If you have any chests in the room, Penny will let you know she won’t move them herself but will ask you to relocate them. Move the chests out of the way so she can proceed with decorating the room.

Wake Up To Re-Decorated Room

After 3 days, when you wake up, you’ll find that your bedroom has been re-decorated according to the theme you chose. The design will vary based on your selection, with each theme offering a unique look for your room.

There is then a short cutscene. In the cutscene, Penny will ask for your opinion on the new decoration. After the cutscene, the Heart Event will conclude.

The Penny 14 Heart Event reflects her background and desire for a home, giving players a meaningful glimpse into her character.

When Penny redecorates, what happens to all the decorations you already had in the room? Should I store them away in preparation for this heart event? Also, once you pick a theme, do you know if there is any way to re-trigger the event and pick a different one? (Also this comment system is weird, I apologize if I end up posting duplicate comments)

She puts any items you had in the room into a chest she puts in with all the other furniture, so none of it gets erased entirely. You should move chests with items in the bedroom to somewhere outside of the bedroom though. If you have a garden pot in the bedroom with a plant it it, the plant will die. Not sure about resetting it but you could divorce her, wipe her memory, and re marry her for the event (only if heart events get reset, Im not sure)
