To start the new questline in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla depends on where you are in the game. According to the official Ubisoft blog the new quest is only accessible if you meet a certain criteria. You must have your Settlement level 4 or above and have completed the side quest called A Wise Friend. When both requisites are met you will be met by the screen shown above when you login.

After you login head to Ravensthorpe and go to the northwest near Valka’s Hut where there is a mysterious woman. Speak to the stranger Edyt. This triggers a cutscene in which Valka and Edyt speak of being friends and about the Isle of Skye. At the end of the cutscene choose Let’s go to Skye to start the A Fated Encounter questline.

The Valhalla questline showcases the viewpoint of Eivor. This view runs counter to that of Kassandra who has their own questline to complete in Odyssey. These crossover quests are part of the DLC update releasing in March 2022. This update adds new content for players to explore and is part of Year 2.
