In Starfield player can select a starting trait called Kid Stuff. This trait allows you to visit your parents over the course of the story. Each time you visit your parents they gift you different rewards. While this may sound awesome, it has a cost. When you take the Kid Stuff trait you agree to pay your parents 2% of all credits earned. If this sounds like too much you may be how to remove Kid Stuff trait in Starfield. Can You Get Rid of the Kid Stuff Trait in Starfield

While 2% of your credits may seem like not much, over the course of your playthrough it adds up. If you don’t want to financially support you parents while you play you can remove the Kid Stuff trait. To do this follow these easy steps:

  1. Visit your parents in their apartment for the first time.
  2. Speak to them when they visit the Lodge.
  3. Advance the storyline until Noel tells you to go see them.
  4. Speak to your father in the apartment.

When you speak to your father he will mention finally retiring. After that you can say that you can no longer afford to give them 2% of your credits. After selecting this option you will be prompted a second time to make sure you are positive about removing the trait. Select “I just can’t afford it any more” to make it permanent.

What Happens if you Remove the Kid Stuff Trait in Starfield

If you decide to part with the Kid Stuff trait, your parents will vacate the apartment within a few days. This decision not only results in losing access to the apartment but also forfeiting the valuable rewards your parents give as you progress through the main storyline. Among these rewards, you’ll miss out on the coveted Grandfather’s Meatloaf cooking recipe.
