How to Access the Risen Snow and Darkdale Armor Sets in God of War Ragnarok

In God of War Ragnarok there are a few armor sets that players can unlock from having pre-ordered the game or bought the Deluxe Edition. These armor sets are the Risen Snow set and the Darkdale sets. Both sets become available to players ate a specific point int he game. If you are wondering when that point is, the guide below will help. Where to Get the Pre-Order and Deluxe Editions Armor Sets

Both the the DLC armor sets available to players, become available at the same time in the game. To gain access to the sets you need to advance along the game’s main story path. This means completing the first story mission called Surviving Fimbulwinter. Once you’ve completed this mission you will arrive at the Huldra brother’s house.

In the house you are required to do a bit of smithing as part of the game’s tutorial. Once this tutorial portion is complete and you’ve unlocked the Lost Items Chest you will receive your bonus armor sets. These set pieces appear in your inventory on the Armor screen The armor sets contain the following pieces:

Risen Snow Set Pieces

  • Breastplate (Chest).
  • Gauntlets (Wrist).
  • Girdle (Waist).

If you wear all three pieces of this set you increase the Stun chance on airborne enemies by +40%. Under three pieces equipped and you gain an increased Stun chance on airborne enemies by +20%. Besides the set bonus this armor gives increased stats to Strength, Defense, and Luck.

Darkdale Set Pieces

  • Plackart (Chest).
  • Guards (Wrist).
  • Guard (Waist).

If you wear all three pieces of this set you increase the rate at which Rage is gained when attacking Status-Afflicted enemies and using Runic attacks by +40%. Under three pieces equipped and the Rage that is gained when attacking Status-Afflicted enemies and using Runic attacks is +20%. Besides the set bonus this armor gives increased stats to Strength, Defense, and Runic.
