For the past decade, GTA 6 has generated immense anticipation. Fans have eagerly speculated about its release date and the debut of the first major trailer. Thanks to Rockstar Games co-founder Sam Houser, we now have a confirmed date for the upcoming GTA 6 reveal trailer, and it’s just around the corner.

In honor of their 25th anniversary, Rockstar Games marked the occasion with a blog post they also shared as an X thread. In the concluding message, they expressed their gratitude to fans for years of support with the following reveal:

We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you.

Unfortunately there is no concrete date as to when players can expect the trailer to release. There is speculation that it could appear during Geoff Keighley’s The Game Awards show which is slated for December 7th. UPDATE: The official release date is December 5th at 9am ET.

Information about Grand Theft Auto 6 has been scarce. In 2022, a substantial leak revealed early gameplay footage, albeit from the initial development stages. This leak confirmed the presence of two playable characters and the game’s setting in a fictionalized Miami known as Vice City.

The release date for GTA 6 remains unannounced, fueling widespread speculation. A compelling and well-supported possibility is 2024, with indications from comments made by Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two. They anticipate fiscal year 2025 to be a significant year for bookings, hinting at a potential release window.
