Fortnite Battle Royale Refundable Items – What You Can and Can’t Refund

Fortnite Battle Royale refundable items

In the newest update of Fortnite Battle Royale, players received an interesting new option which allows them to refund items from the store free of charge with no questions asked. Unfortunately, this new refund system was short lived as Epic has suspended it for the time being. With that said, the new refund system will be coming back online soon, and with it will come a few restrictions. To help you distinguish what can and can’t be refunded, I’ve put together this list of Fortnite Battle Royale refundable items.

In the recent update, Fortnite Battle Royale refundable items was added.

Fortnite Battle Royale will soon allow players to refund items they’ve purchased in the store.

Before we dive right in, we need to highlight a couple of restrictions that will be a part of the new refund system when it goes live again. The first restriction is that refunds will be made in the form of V-Bucks back to your account (rather than cash). The second restriction is that you only get three lifetime refund uses, so you will needed to be selective of what items you want to refund. The last restriction is that not all items will be eligible for refunds.

Items You Can’t Refund in Fortnite Battle Royale

  • Battle Pass
  • Battle Pass Tiers
  • Starter Pack
  • Founder’s Pack
  • Founder’s Pack Upgrades
  • Loot Llamas (Save the World)
  • Event and Weekly Items (Save the World)

Items You Can Refund in Fortnite Battle Royale

  • Emotes
  • Gliders
  • Harvesting Tools
  • Back Bling
  • Outfits

As you can see from the list, the items you can refund in Fortnite Battle Royale are all cosmetic. This means things like the Battle Pass, Battle Pass Tiers, and the different Packs are all ‘buyer beware’. Even with that stipulation, this new refund system is a smart move on Epic’s part as it offers a rather easy way for people to test out microtransactions in the game. Buy a skin you don’t like? Refund it while still keeping V-Bucks in the economy. Win-win for all parties involved.
