As January bids farewell, it leaves behind a rather peculiar month for game releases. While it boasted a solid lineup, the unexpected dominance of Palworld added a unique twist. Fortunately, the gaming momentum forged in January seamlessly extends into February, offering a promising array of scheduled releases. To ensure you stay well-informed, here are the key February 2024 video game release dates that should be on your radar.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League – February 2

Undoubtedly the most contentious release this month, and possibly for the entire year, is Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. Developed by Rocksteady and published by Warner Bros. Games, this action-adventure third-person shooter has endured a tumultuous journey from delays to unfavorable early reviews, making its path to release quite an odyssey.

For those eager to immerse themselves in the game, taking control of one of four playable characters—Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark—the wait comes to an end on February 2. The title is accessible on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Person 3 Reload – February 2

Another noteworthy release on February 2 is the highly anticipated Persona 3 remake, titled Persona 3 Reload. This remake represents a ground-up overhaul of the 2006 title, aligning it with the standards set by Persona titles released in recent years. Players can anticipate enhanced graphics and functional improvements, promising an upgraded and immersive experience compared to the original.

Persona 3 Reload will release onto PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 2. This title will be available on Game Pass day one.

Helldivers 2 – February 8

In 2015, Arrowhead Game Studios introduced Helldivers, a top-down shooter that immersed players in action reminiscent of the iconic Starship Troopers. Fast forward nine years, and the studio is making a return with a sequel that transforms the formula from the first game into a thrilling, and much bigger, third-person shooter experience.

On February 8, players can either team up with others or go solo as they dive into Helldivers 2, which is set to launch on PC and PlayStation 5.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden – February 13

Don’t Nod, the developers of Vampyr, make a comeback with their latest supernatural-themed title, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. This third-person action role-playing game empowers players to control the duo of ghost hunters, Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith. The couple utilizes both conventional and spirit abilities during combat encounters with enemies. The game also features a choice system that actively influences various outcomes in the storyline.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden will release on February 13 for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.

Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered – February 14

What better way to spend Valentine’s Day than in the company of one of gaming’s most iconic female characters, Lara Croft? Although Lara isn’t receiving a new title just yet, she’s getting a fresh coat of paint in the Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered collection. This title delivers updated graphics, includes all expansions, and features secret levels—all bundled together in a single, enhanced collection.

Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered will release on February 14 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong – February 16

Nintendo is getting in on the remake action with the release of platformer Mario vs. Donkey Kong. This title remakes the original Mario vs. Donkey Kong that released on the Game Boy Advance system in 2004. In the remake players will get access to over 130 levels, co-op play, brand-new worlds, and updated music and visuals.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong will release on the Nintendo Switch on February 16.

Skull and Bones – February 16

Skull and Bones stands out as one of the more peculiar titles on the horizon. Ubisoft initiated its development back in 2013, originally conceived as an expansion for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Now, after 11 years and a whopping $120 million in development budget, the game is set to see the light of day.

In terms of gameplay, Skull and Bones is an action-adventure title where players assume control of a pirate ship navigating the Indian Ocean. The game offers a single-player campaign for players to complete, along with engaging player-versus-player battles in the treacherous Disputed Waters.

Skull and Bones will release on February 16 on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth – February 29

Concluding the month of February is the highly anticipated release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Serving as the sequel to the 2020 installment, Final Fantasy VII Remake, this title holds the middle position in the planned trilogy of remakes.

The narrative of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth continues from the events concluded in Final Fantasy VII Remake. Similar to its predecessor, this new addition reimagines the source material, introducing fresh mechanics and storylines to enhance the overall gaming experience.

Final Fantasy Rebirth will release on PlayStation 5 on February 29.
