Far Cry New Dawn Photograph Locations (A Thousand Words Quest)

In Far Cry New Dawn there are a total of 9 photograph locations you need to collect to complete the A Thousand Words quest. This guide will show you help you find all Far Cry New Dawn Photograph Locations. Let’s get started.

Starting the A Thousand Words Quest

Before you can start finding the photograph locations around Hope County, you must first begin the A Thousand Words quest. To do this make your way to Prosperity. On the walkway above the Prosperity Unlocks Facility upgrades store there is a piano. Beside the piano is Tracey’s Shoebox (this is marked by a blue side mission icon). Grab the shoebox to begin the A Thousand Words Quest.


Photo Location #1 – Outside of Prosperity

The first photo location can be found to the northwest of Prosperity. Look for a pathway heading into a large crater. Along the pathway is a table with a camera and note on it. Pull out the photo (up on the D-Pad) and line it up with Prosperity to trigger the first photo location.


Photo Location #2 – Rye & Daughter Aviation

The second photo location can be found at Rye & Daughter Aviation. This location can be found to the east of Prosperity along the river. At the location head to the house located on the east end of the compound. Make your way to the south of the house to find another table and camera. Look at the house and pull out the photo to trigger location two.


Photo Location #3 – Water Tower Outside Chop Shop Outpost

You will find the third photo location on the outskirts of the Chop Shop outpost (located north of Rye’s). There is an old water tower with a plane on top of it. Head to the south of the water tower to find the yellow mat/table with camera on it. Look at the water tower with the photo out to get the location.


Photo Location #4 – Road North of Refinery Outpost

The next photo location can be found at the Refinery Outpost. Make your to the road to the north of the outpost to find the yellow mat/table with camera on it. Look at the Refinery and pull out the photo. This will trigger the photo location.


Photo Location #5 – Broken Bridge By Sergey’s Place

To find the next spot, head to along the river going north from the Refinery Outpost. As you head this way you will reach a spot with a broken bridge. Look for the photo area and pull out the photo. Line it up with the bridge to get this location.


Photo Location #6 – Off Road East of Pantry Outpost

The next photo location is just to the east of the Pantry Outpost. Head to the Pantry Outpost and make your way to the are marked in the screenshot above. Pull out the photo and look at the Pantry Outpost to get this phoso location.


Photo Location #7 – Chateau Boshaw

This photo location is found in the Boshaw Chateau (where NPC Sharky Boshaw is holed up). Make your way to the chateau and head to the eastern banks overlooking the stronghold. On the banks is a yellow mat/table with camera. Hold the photo up and look at the chateau to get the photo location.


Photo Location #8 – Old Compound Church

You will find photo location eight at the Old Compound from the beginning of Far Cry 5. On the banks of the river overlooking the old church there is the photo location. Hold the photo up while looking at the church to get the photo location.


Photo Location #9 – Joseph’s Compound

Before you can get to this final photo location, you need to complete a few story missions. The mission you need to complete is the Highwaymen siege on Prosperity. Once this mission is done you will get an Eden questline. Complete the Eden questline (lighting the flame) to be able to enter the areas covered in Bliss. Once you can go into the north, make your way to Joseph’s Compound to get the final photo location.

For completing this mission you earn a total of 5 Perk Points as well as an achievement/trophy called Before.
