After you complete the Memory of Sia Mota side mission you will start the Symphony of Death mission. This Legendary quest tasks you with exploring the Circle of Bones beneath the Moon. To help you complete this mission, use the Symphony of Death guide below.

The Circle of Bones can be found in the Hellmouth area. Make your way through The Gatehouse and you will arrive in the Circle of Bones. You will need to go underground to find this location.

Find Mission Start in the Circle of Bones

From the entrance of The Circle of Bones hang a left and walk along the top portion of the room. Continue forward and you will eventually reach a mission flag for the Symphony of Death. Interact with the flag to start the mission. Your first objective is to Find Toland, The Shattered.

Find Toland, The Shattered

When you start the mission you will trigger a waypoint to follow. Follow this waypoint to avoid getting lost. Make your way towards the waypoint and you will enter The Summoning Pits. Inside The Summoning Pits you need to stop the ritual. Kill all the enemies in this room to get the next objective which is to gather the Silent Skull.

In the center of the room you will see an item in the middle of the room. Interact with the Silent Skull and grab it. Once you grab the skull you will receive the items Tainted Lullaby (Quest Step) and a weapon. Once you have these items return to Eris in Sanctuary.

Return to Eris Morn at Sanctuary to receive the Marrow’s Elegy. This portion of the side quest requires you to complete different Public Events and find a random Enemy:

  • Festering Bone: Complete the Public Event in Hellmouth.
  • Ritualistic Bone: Complete the K1 Revelation Lost Sector in Sorrow’s Harbor. Be sure to loot cache.
  • Bone Collector’s Marrow: Found this enemy spawned near of the Anchor of Light Public Event.

Once you’ve collected all of the items listed above you will unlock the next objective to defeat Sulmakta, High Conductor.

Defeat Sulmakta, High Conductor

Sulmakta, High Conductor is an enemy that spawns during The Scarlet Keep Strike. This Wizard can be found in the room to the right after exiting the elevator for the second time. Defeat this enemy to trigger the next objective which is to record the screams of your enemies.

Record Enemies

To complete the Record Enemies portion of this mission you need to gather the following:

  • Discomfort = Red Bar enemies.
  • Pained cries = minibosses.
  • Anguished screams = bosses.

To get these recordings simply kill the enemy types listed above. A good place to do this is Sorrow’s Harbor since there is a wide mix of enemy types (Red bar, nightmare enemies = minibosses, and Ogres = bosses). Regardless of where you end up doing this, collect all the recordings to receive your next objective.

Defeat Ir Airam, Deathsinger

The final objective of this mission is to defeat Ir Airam, Deathsinger. This final mission is located in the Circle of Bones and has a Power Level recommendation of 920. To complete this objective you need to make your way through three areas with Wizards. In these areas you experience Deathsong which kills you in 1 minute if you don’t lower the Wizards shield within that time. After these three rooms you will trigger a checkpoint. After this checkpoint you will arrive in the boss area where you will fight Ir Airam, Deathsinger. The same Deathsong status effect applies here, only this time there are a ton of enemies. Defeat Ir and head back to Sanctuary.

Give Singing Skull to Eris

In Sanctuary make your way over to Eris. Give him the Singing Skull item. In return you will receive the Deathbringer Exotic Rocket Launcher. This ends the Symphony of Death questline.
