Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Mastery Challenge Map & List
The update in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, 1.2.2, brings a new game mode to the title called Mastery Challenge. This mode introduces players to special shrines that feature challenges they can complete. To locate all of these shrines you need to find them in the world. Way to go ubi. I intentionally left this game nearly a year ago from these stupid mastery challenges. Now I return a year later and you haven’t updated, changed, eliminated, or revised. This stupid, repeatedly, dump, nonsensical, challenge. That adds, NOTHING, to the story line.
Words cannot express how boring and tedious these challenges are. And there are soooo many of them. Honestly that update where you go adventuring with kassandra was way better. Would’ve preferred a more story oriented update rather than this snore fest.
All they had to do was play test this and 99% of them Would’ve said “it’s cool and all but we Would’ve preferred if there were less of these challenges as they got old after the first three times.” and bam, problem solved. So many different aspects of Eivor’s journey we could explore, the Assassins Creed universe has so much to offer (it’s literally all of history) and these barebones arcade style challenges that only madmen would grind to perfect (i gave up trying to get gold after the 6th challenge) do not do it justice.
4/10. The only solace is the fact that it has a decent reward at the end and if you give up on getting gold medals you can burn through the challenges easy enough.
I watched on youtube the videos that showed some chests and they had a supply in them. When I opened them, they only gave me silver.
Can you tell me if it’s a bug ?
Absolutely hate those mastery challenges, If they don’t provide new dlc Siege of Paris asap then I am done with this game for good, Wrath of the Druids was way too short, I expected much more, hopefully Siege of Paris will be 200+ hours just like the very beginning of the game.
I too am disappointed in these challenges. I like to play the story line that has objectives, builds alliance, and has the feel that I am living the story.
These challenges are simply spending your time learning what is expected by repetitively playing each challenge.
I don’t want or need any of the rewards either. I see nothing there that will add to the power of Eivor that I already have. They seem not to add any weapons or gear that is any better than that which is already in the game.
I only have two of the Shrines open and completed the three challenges in both of them. I struggled in them all, but found that repetitive play is the key to learning the path to take to do better. I have one gold medal. I am done with this nonsense.
Dissaster! Absolute meltdown! Worst thing that could happen to a game that is going on the knees. Armour, skills, weapons, getting so f—ing tired of Ubisoft.
Yeah. It is a bit of a disappointment.
