4 Boss Tricks You Didn’t Know in Sekiro Shadows Die Twice

4 Boss Tricks You Didn't Know in Sekiro Shadows Die Twice

Boss fights are a major part of Sekiro Shadows Die Twice and many of the fights have tricks you can use to swing the fight in your favor. Below I will show you 4 boss tricks you didn’t know in Sekiro Shadows Die Twice.

1. Scare Gyoubu Oniwa’s Horse using Robert’s Firecrackers

The first real boss you will face in Sekiro Shadows Die Twice is Gyoubu Oniwa. This enemy rides into battle on a huge horse. While this may seem like it gives the boss an advantage, this is actually incorrect. If Wolf has the Robert’s Firecrackers Prosthetic Tool he can use it to scare the horse and get in a few hits uninterrupted. Check out this video of I.Eat.Games. showing you how to get the Robert’s Firecrackers and how to use them.

2. Knock Lady Butterfly Out of Air Using Shuriken

Lady Butterfly is another early boss which many people find difficult. During this fight Lady Butterfly is super mobile and can be hard to bully around. Luckily there is a nice little trick using the Loaded Shuriken which knocks Lady Butterfly out of the air and gives you a good window to deal some damage. To do this trick wait for Lady Butterfly to jump into the air. When she moves around you can hit her with a Shuriken to knock her to the ground. 3. Second Phase Guardian Ape Loaded Spear Trick

The Guardian Ape is one of the harder fights for many people in Sekiro Shadows Die Twice. With that said there is an interesting trick you can use during the second phase which deals a large amount of Vitality and Posture damage. This trick involves using the Loaded Spear Shinobi Prosthetic when the ape’s neck is exposed. Check out the trick in the video above by YouTuber MrCitrus100.

4. Corrupted Monk 2x Plunging Deathblows Trick

The second time you face off against the Corrupted Monk (this time in the Fountainhead Palace area) you will notice the boss now has three health bars. This might come as a shock to you, but the fight itself actually has a couple of easy to trigger Deathblows you can use to quickly reach the final phase. Basically all you need to do is utilize the trees in the area to get above the Corrupted Monk and profit. Check out YouTube PS4Trophies showing off the trick in the video above.
