The Abandoned Manor was locked through Part 1 of Steal an Egg’s Halloween event. Part 2 (Update 10) opens it — but only after a quest chain that runs through Forgotten Town and a secret underground fishing area. Here is every step to get the Manor Key and open the door.
What You Need to Do First
Complete Echo’s quest to earn the Phantom Express Ticket. If you haven’t done that yet, see our Dog Quest guide, which covers Echo’s four lost items and the Phantom Express Ticket reward.
How to unlock the Abandoned Manor
Once you have the Phantom Express Train Ticket, board the Phantom Express to visit the Forgotten Town area.
In the Forgotten Town, make your way to the lake and look for a Green Whirlpool inside it. Walk into the whirlpool to teleport to a secret area: the Secret Fishing Area.
In the Secret Fishing Area, speak to the NPC named Gus. Gus has lost the Abandoned Manor’s Gate Key in the surrounding water.
Use your fishing rod to fish in the water until you get the key (might take a few casts). While you are trying to catch this key item you will earn Candy Corn, eggs, and sometimes the Spectral Mutation.
Once you have the Manor Key head through the green sewer pipe to reach the outside of the Abandoned Manor.
Interact with the gate to open it and gain access to the Pumpkin Boss Fight Portal and a co-op fuse altar in the Abandoned Manor.
That’s all you need to know to get the Manor Key and unlock the Abandoned Manor. This area is definitely worth unlocking so you can access the boss and altar!
