Resident Evil 4 Remake Insect Hive Guide
Resident Evil 4 Remake Insect Hive is a Merchant Request that players can complete in Chapter 11. This request tasks players with destroying all of the hive entrances in the Hive area. To help you complete this request see our Insect Hive guide below.
Insect Hive Request Location & Details
Midway through Chapter 11 Leon and Luis take a couple of cart rides. At the end of the second ride they arrive in the hive area. Walk forward in this area into the first room you see to find the Blue Request Note on a pallet. Pick it up to learn the following request details:
- Request: Destroy all the entrances to the hive.
- Area: Hive.
- Reward: Spinel x4
To earn the reward you need to go to destroy the different entrances in the Hive. The Hive is the next area you visit after picking up the note. There are a total of 4 entrances to find and destroy. The locations are listed below.
Hive 1
The first hive can be seen by looking turning left of the request and looking up into the middle of the large room. You should see the glowing yellow orb on top of the cave.
Hive 2+3
Follow the path behind the Blue Request north, deeper into the Hive. You will reach a new room where there more bugs will attack and Luis says he hates bugs and Leon is the brawn. Look to the south in this room towards the ceiling of the cave and you will find both Hive 2 and 3.
Hive 4
Continue through the Hive by going through the minecart area. Once you emerge from this area look up to ward ceiling of the Hive in the middle. You should see Hive 4 there.
Once you’ve destroyed the four hives listed above you need to make your way to the Merchant. This can be done at your leisure. When you do finally speak to him he will reward you with Spinel x4. This currency can be used to trade with the Merchant for special items.
