Remnant From the Ashes Twisted Mask

Featured image on Remnant From the Ashes Twisted Mask guide

In Remnant From the Ashes there are a number of items for players to collect out in the world. These items range from simple consumables to more valuable Key Items. One valuable item you will want to get is the Twisted Mask (not to be confused with the Twisted Armor Set). This mask offers decent protection and also allows you to unlock a nice Trait. Below I will walk you through where to find the Remnant From Ashes Twisted Mask, and what to do with it.

Where to Find the Twisted Mask

The Twisted Mask is found on the Mad Merchant in Junk Town. You will see the NPC wearing the mask when you talk with him. During you conversation, continue to mention the mask to get him to attack you. Kill the merchant to get the Twisted Mask for yourself.

Wear Twisted Mask While Talking to Wailing Wood

Once you have the Twisted Mask be on the lookout for the Wailing Wood. This tree sits near a checkpoint marker aptly named Wailing Wood(I believe it replaces Mud Tooth in first area). Once you find the tree, wear the Twisted Mask and speak to it. This causes a short sequence resulting in you getting the the Trait Bark Skin (improves armor %). Once you’ve done this shoot the Wailing Wood. Take out the tree to get the Twisted Idol necklace.

That’s everything you need to know about the Twisted Mask. Have anything to add to our guide? Thoughts on the guide itself? Let me hear them in The Pit below.

Shooting the tree does nothing for me. What am I missing? (Got mask and Bark Skin already)
