Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 Safe Haven Prison Entrance Guide

Poppy Playtime Chapter 4: Safe Haven picks up right at the end of Chapter 3: Deep Sleep. The player heads deeper into the Playtime Co. Factory. The first major area you visit is the Prison, but you need to figure out how to get there first. How to Start Chapter 4: Safe Haven

To start Poppy Playtime Chapter 4: Safe Haven, select Poppy Playtime on your PC/Console. Open it and you will see a chapter select screen. Select Chapter 4 to be taken to the chapter’s main menu. Pick New Game to start playing the chapter.

Find the Entrance to The Prison Entrance

You take control of the player at the bottom of the elevator. Step off it and go into Loading Bay 1E. You will get your first objective which is to Investigate the Control Room.

Inside Loading Bay 1E you will find a door in the top right corner with a hand scanner that needs to be powered on. You need to find a Battery to do this.

Jump across the blue crates and look right into the cage to find the Battery.

In the middle of this room you will see four large red and blue crates. Get on top of them. Walk across the first three and then swing across the gap using the hook in the ceiling.

On the other side, look right into the broken cage. You will see the Battery lying there. Grab it and take it to the door. Put it into the Battery Socket and then scan your Blue Hand to open it. Go through the door and head into Caves 1C.

Caves 1C

Make your way through Caves 1C. You will reach an area with a Playtime block blocking the path to your left. Grab the block and drag it away to reveal a hole you can crouch and go through. Go through the hole.

Continue forward. Swing across the gap. Keep going. You will encounter a bunch of rubble blocking the path. You can squeeze through gap to the left of the rubble to get through it. Do that now to reach Checkpoint 1A.

Checkpoint 1A Door

The door to Checkpoint 1A is tied shut. Switch to your Flare Hand. Shoot the Flare Hand at the rope tying the door shut. This burns the rope and opens the door. Head inside.

Outside the Prison Entrance (Smiling Critter Horde)

Follow the path through the Checkpoint 1A area until you reach the outside of the Prison Entrance. It is locked. While standing in front of the entrance an alarm will sound. This moment triggers the Smiling Critter Horde.

The Smiling Critter Horde spawns in from on top of the huge toy pile next to the Prison Entrance. They will come running down the pile towards you. Equip your Flare Hand. Shoot flares into the the horde as they run at you to scare them away.

Find a New Way Into the Prison

Once you’ve survived the Horde you will need to find a new way into the Prison. Luckily for us the Smiling Critters showed us the way.

Go up the toy pile to find a door.

Make your way up the large toy pile to the left of the Prison Entrance. At the top you will find a door, now open, that you can go through. Go through the door into the caves.

Caves

Go forward in the caves. Use the Purple Hand Launch pads to traverse the platforms. Cross the beam on top of the pit and then swing across the gap to reach the train area. Ollie will call you and talk to you.

How to Solve the Train Puzzle

In this room you will see a train in the center. The train is our ticket to reaching the Prison, but first we need to get it running.

Get the Utility Room Key

Walk forward so you are standing on the opposite side of the train. You will see some black crates with cables on them. Nearby will be some Playtime blocks you can move. Move them so they make a staircase up to top of the train then climb up.

On top of the train you will see an open train car suspended from the ceiling. Jump over to it. Go inside and make your way to the end. Turn left to find discarded toy on the toilet with a key on it. Grab it to get the Utility Room Key.

Utility Room

Drop down and go over to the Utility Room. Open it. Inside the room you will find a Socket on the wall you can connect to marked with a 1. Connect to it.

While connected, leave the Utility Room. Walk around both of the power poles and then attach to the Socket on the back of the train caboose marked with a 2.

Powering up the train opens the back door. Board the train. Inside you will trigger a sequence where the train moves and takes you to the Cell Block.

During this sequence we meet an antagonist named The Doctor. The Doctor knocks you out and you wake up in the Cell Blocks. Check out our Prison guide to complete that section.
