Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 Safe Haven Doctor’s Headquarters Guide
Once you make your way through the Doctor’s Domain you arrive at the Doctor’s Headquarters. As the name of this area suggests, this is where the big bad Doctor resides in Chapter 4. This section features a maze puzzle to complete and a final showdown with The Doctor himself. To help you complete it, see our Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 Safe Haven Doctor’s Headquarters guide below.
Confront The Doctor
At the end of the Doctor’s Domain area you ride a large elevator up. This takes you to the Doctor’s Headquarters. Step off the elevator and follow the path forward. Go through the double doors and walk forward toward the computer.
When you step forward you will trigger a cutscene. During this cutscene one of the Doctor’s henchmen will grab you and throw you down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs a trapdoor will trigger and you will fall below into a new area.
Doctor’s Headquarters Maze/Power Puzzle
The new area you land in is a maze. You are in the center of it in a caged off “safe area.” In this area there are four computer consoles you need to power up using Batteries you find in the maze.
Due to the maze nature of this section, I recommend using the video guide above. It walks you through where to go to find all four of the batteries. to easily complete this section.
One tip to follow if you are getting lost easily, is to look for the power cables on the ground. If you follow them it can make getting back to the consoles much easier.
Sawyer Office Key (Optional)
While you are completing The Doctor’s boss fight you can snag an optional special keycard to reach a hidden office to complete some Trophies/Achievements. The Sawyer’s Office Key is located in the maze for you to grab.



To get the keycard go out the gate shown in the first screenshot above. Follow the cable on the ground until you reach the Yellow Gate. Go past the Yellow Gate. Turn right and you will find the Sawyer’s Office Key floating between a few of The Doctor’s robots.
Defeating The Doctor
Once you have the keycard or just have completed the maze in general, make your way through the Yellow Gates and head upstairs. Go up to the console. Interact with it to make the Omni-Chip appear. Pull out the Omni-Chip to kill The Doctor.
Visit Sawyer’s Office (Optional)
If you snagged the Sawyer’s Office Key, you can visit the office now. Simply go behind The Doctor, head up the stairs and use the console by the door there.
Inside this office you can snag the Black VHS Tape 2 and the Young Geniuses Program Removal Letter collectibles. You can also use the Radio on the floor to listen to more The Doctor lore and unlock a Trophy/Achievement.
Acquire The Omni-Hand Upgrade
Once The Doctor is dead a door opens in the corner. Go through it to reach a laboratory. Approach the console in this room and insert the Omni-Chip into it. Insert the Red Hand into the upgrader when prompted. Grab the Omni-Hand when it is ready.
The upgrade Red Hand AKA the Omni-Hand allows you to hold four charges in the Red Hand (instead of only one). This is a huge upgrade! It is also needed to active certain doors.
Return to Safe Haven
With the Omni-Hand acquired, it is time to return to Safe Haven. Leave the Doctor’s Headquarters and go down the large elevator. Head through the large open door and use the hook to zipline down. Use the Blue Hand on the sensor to open the door.
Go through the door. Turn left and enter the tram there. You will go on a bit of a journey. While this is happening Ollie will talk to you.
When the tram comes to a stop exit it. Get on the Yellow Elevator. Take it to just outside of Safe Haven. Once there use the ramps to reach the Vent. Go through the Vent to enter Safe Haven.
Repair the Generator in Safe Haven
In Safe Haven, Poppy will talk to you. After speaking to her she will enter the Auxiliary Power room. Go into this room when you are ready. It is time to fix the generator.
To fix the generator you need to follow the directions given by Ollie. Ollie will tell you to do the following things:
- Open the access panel by using the Omni-Hand on the sensor.
- Flip the Breaker Switch.
- Grab an External Resistor (round part).
- Replace the External Resistor.
- Use the Omni-Hand on the sensor.
- Grab a Surge Protector (square part).
- Replace the Surge Protector.
Once you’ve done this, the Generator will start up. This means the defenses are back online and Safe Haven is safe… For now!
Upon completing the Safe Haven Generator puzzle you will get a new objective to go to a new location called The Foundation. Use our The Foundation guide to complete this part of the game.
