Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 Safe Haven Doctor’s Domain Guide

After making our way through No Man’s Land you will arrive at the Doctor’s Domain area in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4: Safe Haven. As the name of this area suggests, we are getting closer to our showdown with The Doctor. To make your way through this section, check out our Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 Safe Haven Doctor’s Domain guide below.

Doctor’s Domain Pipe Puzzle Room

To start pull the blocks over to make stairs up to the stone ramp. Go up the stone ramp on to the catwalk. Make your way along the catwalk until you reach a gap.

Swing across the gap to the Purple Launch Pad on the other side and then use it to cross the gap. Turn around and look down to the floor below. Pull the Pipe Flow Stopper to stop the flow of the Blue Pipe below you and then drop down.

Make your way behind the tent. Look for a Yellow Handle on the Blue Pipe you can use to stop the flow. Pull it. Go inside the tent and grab the Blue Keycard off of the desk.

Take the Blue Keycard and go to the main console by the locked door. Use the keycard to power it up. This opens the door to the left. Go through the door to reach a new puzzle area, the Morgue.

Morgue Puzzle Room

To advance through the Morgue you need to solve a puzzle. This puzzle contains multiple parts. Watch the video above to see how to do it. The steps are:

  1. Use your Blue Hand on the Blue Scanner by the locked door. Your Blue Hand freezes in place.
  2. Grab the Battery Pack from the Body Drawer #2.
  3. Put the Battery Pack in the Saw.
  4. Move the Saw to cut the stretched Blue Hand.
  5. Pick up the Blue Hand.
  6. Use the Blue Hand on the Temperature Control console sensor.

After you shut down the Temperature Control the threat in this room will end. Grab the Plug from the Temperature Control wall. Take it into the now opened room and plug it into the socket under the specimen.

Routing the power destroys the specimen in the container and opens the far door. Go through the far door to reach a new area of No Man’s Land with yet another puzzle!

Secondary Lab Gas Puzzle

As you go forward you will eventually reach a tent. This tent features a console with security cameras and a man wearing a gas mask on a gurney. This is the Gas Maze puzzle in the Secondary Lab.

Cheese Method

To complete this puzzle you need to collect pieces of the code from off of the toys shown on the screens. Normally you would do this with the Gas Mask, but you can cheese it a bit.

Input the code “35198” into the Console first to shut off the gas. This basically bypasses this entire section, meaning you only have to go to the Operation Room (via the Vent) to advance.

Legit Method

If you want to do this section legit. Check out the video above. You will need to wear the Gas Mask and refill it as you are collecting the different code fragments off the toys in the Gas Maze.

Once the pieces are gathered, you then need to return to first tent and input the code “35198” into the Console. This will cause the gas to shut off, allowing you to freely explore.

Where to Go After Completing the Gas Maze Puzzle

Regardless of how you approach the Gas Maze, you need to go to the same place to continue. Make your way to the Operation Room in the Gas Maze (the building with PJ on the table).

Before continuing, ensure the building is powered up by pushing the Red Button on the Main Floor then go to the second floor.

On the second floor you will find a specimen in a Vital System Center. Take the nearby Plug and plug it into the specimen to power up the nearby door. Go through this door to reach a new area and a jump scare by a Smiling Critter.

Path to follow to do the Cave platforming section.
Follow this path.

Head forward in this area. You will come across some scaffolding on your left. Use the nearby blocks to get on it then use the Purple Launch Pads to make your way higher.

Swing across the gap and continue following the path forward. Use the Purple Launchpad to cross the electrified water gap to reach the other side. Continue forward into the large room with the hooks on the ceiling.

When you use the last Purple Launchpad your Purple Hand will get fried, locking it in place. This means you will only be able to use the Blue Hand for the next little bit.

Baba Chops Boss Fight

In the large room go forward. Hook onto the ceiling and try and swing across. When you do this you will fall into the area below. This triggers the boss fight against Baba Chops.

This boss fight is a mix of a Power Puzzle and a Chase. Baba Chops follows you around this large square arena. It will jump at you and inflict damage and a slow effect if it hits you. If you get hit too much, you will die.

To complete the fight you need to first power up and open the door with Blue Keycard behind it. Once you have the Blue Keycard you then need to power up the Power Control Room, use the Blue Keycard, and go inside.

Kill or Spare Simon Smoke

Pull yourself out with this handle to spare Simon Smoke.
Pull yourself out with this handle to spare Simon Smoke.

In the Power Control Room you can decide what happens to Simon Smoke. You can kill it by plugging in the plug or spare him by going through the hole in the ceiling instead (sparing unlocks a Trophy/Achievement).

Regardless of what you choose, you will be able to advance to the next area of the Doctor’s Domain. Simply go up using the elevator (or the ceiling hole) to reach a door with a Blue Hand Sensor.

Open this door. Go into the next room and ride the big elevator up to reach the Doctor’s Headquarters. We are very close now to The Doctor now. Check out our Doctor’s Headquarters guide for help on that section.
