Upon arriving in Motostoke you will take part in an opening ceremony event in the stadium in the town. After this ceremony you will be tasked with heading along Route 3 to Turffield. To help you complete this journey use our how to get to Turffield Gym guide below.

Head to Route 3

After you’ve reached the stadium and watched the opening ceremony you will learn where to head next which is Route 3. This route can be accessed to the left of the Budew Drop Inn. Before heading the way you will receive the Flying Taxi which allows you to fast travel back to places you’ve previously visited. When ready head to the left of the stadium to meet Hop. He wants to fight. He uses the following Pokemon:

  • Wooloo (Lv.11)
  • Starter (Lv.14)
  • Rookidee (Lv.12)

Defeat Hop to receive Hop’s League Card. Head to the left across the bridge to reach Route 3.

Travelling Along Route 3

To reach Turffield you need to make your way along Route 3. This route is full of a number of Pokemon and Trainers to fight. I recommend bringing a number of useful items like Poke Balls, Potions, and even revives to help make this long journey easier. When you are ready to do so make your way along the route. Here you will fight a number of trainers. I’ve listed them below.

Lass Rei

  • Vulpix (Lv.12)

Schoolgirl Hannah

  • Pancham (Lv.13)

Schoolboy Marvin

  • Budew (Lv.12)
  • Gossifleur (Lv.12)

After you’ve defeated these three trainers along Route 3 you will run into Sonia. Speak to her to learn about the mine along Route 3. At the end of the talk Sonia will give you an Escape Rope. Take the Escape Rope and head forward along the path. Here you will encounter Postman Tad. Postman Tad uses the following Pokemon:

  • Delibird (Lv.14)

After the fight with Postman Tad you can walk opposite him to reach another trainer called Schoolgirl Kayleigh. This trainer uses Purrloin (Lv.12) and Skwovet (Lv.13). Past this trainer you will find TM37 Beat Up. Head back past Postman Tad and continue along the pathway until you reach Schoolboy Pete. Schoolboy Pete sends out Sizzlipede (Lv.13) and Dottler (Lv.14). Head past this trainer to reach the Galar Mines.

How to Get through Galar Mines

Before you enter the Galar Mines speak to the woman to the left of the entrance. She will heal your team which is beneficial for making your way through this area. Once you’re healed up head into the mine. Make your way forward through the Galar Mines until you reach a Y. Head to the left to face off against Worker Keith. Worker Keith uses one Pokemon which is Roggernola (Lv.14). Walk down the path and head into the path above to grab 3x Great Balls. Head out the exit to reach a platform with the TM54 Rock Blast on it. Return to the Y and go right.

Walk along the rail track and take your first left to fight Worker Georgia. Georgia has three Pokemon in her party. They are all Timburr (Lv.14). Once you’ve defeat Georgia make your way to the left to grab TM26 Scary Face. Return to the rail line and follow it to the end to reach Worker Sandra. Worker Sandra has a Diglett (Lv.14) and Drilburr (Lv.15). Walk across the bridge and fight Worker Russell. Worker Russell has one Pokemon which is Rolycoly (Lv.15). Beside Rusell grab the pair of Heavy-Duty Boots. Head along the rail to the left and grab the 2x Super Potions along the way. Continue forward to reach Pokemon Trainer Bede before the end of the mine.

  • Solosis (Lv.13)
  • Gothita (Lv.15)
  • Hatenna (Lv.16)

Upon defeat of Pokemon Trainer Bede make your way out of the exit to reach Route 4. Speak to the lady by the entrance to heal your Pokemon if needed. Head out onto the path towards Turffield. You can avoid fighting trainers here but there is one along the right side of the path if you want. This trainer is Pokemon Breeder Jaime. He sends out Meowth (Lv.14), Seedot (Lv.14), and Butterfree (Lv.14). Return to the path and walk along it to trigger a cutscene with gym leader Milo. After the cutscene head into Turffield to trigger another cutscene. Follow Sonia’s Yamper to reach her on the hill. She will give you the Milo League Card and 2x Revives. After this sequence return to the Poke Center. It’s gym time.
