New Pokémon Snap Illumina Pokémon List

In New Pokémon Snap there are super special Pokémon called Illumina Pokémon. These Pokémon have a glowing appearance and appear in there own Illumina expeditions. To complete the main story of the game you will need to find and photograph all of these special Pokémon. To help you do this here’s our completed New Pokémon Snap Illumina Pokémon list.

Meganium (Location: Florio Nature Park Illumina Spot)

The first Illumina Pokémon you will encounter in the game is Meganium. This pokemon is located in the Florio Nature Park Illumina Spot. To advance the story all you need to do here is snap a photo of Meganium as it walks along the pathway. Avoid using zoom as much as possible here as this Pokémon is huge and easily fills out the frame.

Milotic (Location: Elsewhere Forest Illumina Spot)

Reach Research Level 2 in Fireflow Volcano unlocks this special location. Once you have Elsewhere Forest unlocked reach Research Level 2 to unlock the Elsewhere Forest Illumina Spot. In this Illumina expedition you will encounter Milotic. Milotic will swim underwater and will surface occasionally. When the Pokémon is surfaced toss an Illumina Orb at it then snap a picture of it in Illumina form.

Wishiwashi (Location: Lental Seafloor Illumina Spot)

During the Undersea expedition in Lental Seafloor there is an alternative route you can open. Opening this route and completing the alternate route unlocks the Lental Seafloor Illumina Spot. In the Lental Seafloor Illumina Spot you will encounter Wishiwashi. To complete this encounter throw your Illumina Orbs at the solo form Wishiwashis to cause them to form school form version. Snap a photo of this big boi when it appears.

Volcarona x2 (Location: Fireflow Volcano Illumina Spot)

Once you unlock the Fireflow Volcano Illumina Spot you will encounter two Volcarona inside it. These two Pokémon are protected by fire barriers that must be lowered before you can trigger their Illumina form. To lower the fire barrier around them throw fruit at them until the barrier drops. Once the barrier is done throw an Illumina Orb and snap photos as you please.

Steelix (Location: Outway Cave Illumina Spot)

In the Outway Cave Illumina Spot you will encounter the second to last Illumina Pokemon in the game. The Illumina Pokemon in this cave system is a Steelix. During this interaction you will need to lure the Steelix out of various hiding spots. These spots are caves and a mist filled abyss. To lure simply scan the points of interest then toss a fruit. Follow the fruit with an Illumina Orb to trigger the Illumina moment. Snap a picture of Steelix while it is shiny to capture the phenomenon.

Xerneas (Location: Ruins of Remembrance Illumina Spot)

The final Illumina Pokémon you will encounter in the game is Xerneas. Xerneas can be found on the last course of the game called Ruins of Remembrance. To complete the interaction with Xerneas simply throw your Illumina Orbs at the floating orb that circles you around the level. Doing this makes the Pokémon appear so you can snap photos of it. Once you complete this course you will trigger a cutscene and the credits will roll. Congrats on beating New Pokemon Snap. It may seem like the en but there are a number of end-game activities you can still take part in.
