Monster Hunter Wilds Details Coming in The Summer
During The Game Awards in December 2023, players received an exciting glimpse of the next installment of Monster Hunter. Titled Monster Hunter Wilds, the reveal came in a short, minute-and-a-half trailer offering a brief look at the title. While not much was shown, the trailer caused quite a bit of excitement. Now thanks to a newly released video, we know when to expect more Monster Hunter Wilds details.
Capcom Will Reveal More Monster Hunter Wilds Information in Summer 2024
In a video posted on the official Monster Hunter X account, the company shared details about what to expect for the Monster Hunter series in 2024. The video features Ryozo Tsujimoto, the series producer of Monster Hunter talking about various aspects of the series, which is celebrating its 20-th anniversary this year.
During the video Ryozo touched briefly on the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds. Saying the following:
We announced Monster Hunter Wilds and have received a lot of positive feedback from all over the world at the end of last year.
Thank you so much to all the fans for your support and excitement.
The Monster Hunter Wilds team is deep in development and working diligently towards release in 2025. The next announcement for the game is planned for Summer 2024, so we hope you look forward to it.
Capcom has kept much under wraps regarding the upcoming game. The only gleaned details come from the official reveal trailer, showcasing a brief glimpse of the barren wilds location, monster stampedes, a dynamic weather system with lightning and dust storms, and more immersive monster interactions.
The release of the Monster Hunter Wild trailer has seen a marked surge in player interest in the series. The last major mainline title Monster Hunter World has seen a major spike in players. As of the time of writing the game on Steam reached a 150k peak daily player count. This is a marked increase on the December player count.
Monster Hunter Wilds will release in 2025 and will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
