With the 1.4 update of Stardew Valley, ConcernedApe introduced new Heart Events for spouses, including Leah. These events become available once you reach 14 Hearts with your spouse. This guide will walk you through how to unlock the Leah 14 Heart Event in Stardew Valley.

How to Reach 14-Hearts with Leah?

To unlock Leah’s 14 Heart Event, you’ll need to build your relationship with her up to 14 hearts. Starting from 0 hearts, you’ll first need to develop a friendship by giving her gifts she loves and interacting with her daily. Once your relationship reaches 10 hearts, you can propose to her using a Mermaid’s Pendant.

After marriage, you should be at 10 hearts. From there, continue to nurture your relationship by giving her favorite gifts to increase your hearts to the maximum of 14.

  • Goat Cheese
  • Poppyseed Muffin
  • Salad
  • Stir Fry
  • Truffle
  • Vegetable Medley
  • Wine

Regularly gifting these items will help you reach 14 hearts with Leah. Once you’ve maxed out your relationship, Leah will acknowledge your bond with a special dialogue:

“Thanks for always being so thoughtful. I’m looking forward to our future together!” – Leah

How to Do Leah’s 14 Heart Event

Once you’ve reached 14 Hearts with Leah, you can trigger her Heart Event by leaving your house between 6:00 AM and 8:20 AM on a sunny day that isn’t Sunday and isn’t in winter. This will start a cutscene with Leah.

Invited to Paint with Leah

Leah will invite you to paint with her in the Cindersnap Forest.

In the cutscene, Leah will invite you to meet her in Cindersap Forest on the next sunny day between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM for a painting lesson.

You can pass the time as you wish, then head to Cindersap Forest during the specified time for the lesson when it’s available.

Meet Leah in Cindersnap Forest at Noon

When you arrive in Cindersap Forest at noon, you will trigger another cutscene with Leah. During this scene, Leah and you will both paint portraits of Marnie.

Leah will ask for your preference on the painting style she should use for her painting. The choices are (no effect on relationship):

  • Classic Country Portrait
  • Colorful, Retro Pop-Art
  • Minimalist Modern

After this question Leah will then ask you how your painting is going. You can say the following (now effect on relationship):

  • It’s a masterpiece of fine art!
  • I’m trying my best…
  • It looks like chicken scratch

Following the interaction, both you and Leah finish your portraits. Unfortunately, your painting turns out poorly, and Marnie, being polite, declines to accept it. You’ll be left with the “My First Painting” in your inventory.

Marnie will accept Leah’s portrait. It will come out in one of three styles depending on how you suggested she painted it. This painting will then appear in Marnie’s bedroom.
