How to Start Chop Shop Missions in GTA Online
The Chop Shop update for GTA Online is now out and with it comes a new batch of missions for players to complete. These missions see the return of Yusuf Amir, who appeared in GTA 4. If you are wondering how to start Chop Shop Missions in GTA Online, the guide below will tell you everything you need to know.
Purchase a Salvage Yard
To embark on the Chop Shop missions, acquire a Salvage Yard property. Upon logging in after the game update, Yusuf will guide you on securing a shop. Go to Maze Bank Foreclosures, where you can choose and purchase one of the five available Salvage Yards. They are listed below:
- Paleto Bay – $1,620,000
- Sandy Shores – $2,030,00
- Murrieta Heights – $2,420,000
- Strawberry – $2,570,000
- La Puerta – $2,690,000
While it may be tempting to opt for the cheapest options, consider their locations. Since you’ll need to visit this business regularly, it’s not necessarily worth paying less if it means having to travel an extra 5 minutes to every time you have to go to it.
Like every business in the game you can customize the Salvage Yard to increase its effectiveness. This costs money and can push the purchase price into the $5 million dollar range.
Regardless of the cost, make the purchase of the property you want to own to advance to the next portion of the update’s storyline.
Visit Yusuf at the Salvage Yard
Once you’ve bought a Salvage Yard, Yusuf will contact you again, and you will need to meet him at the yard you bought. Go into the garage and a cutscene will trigger where you meet Yusuf. This cutscene will briefly explain how the business works.
Following the cutscene you will appear at the Planning Computer. Register as a CEO and you will be able to use it. On the computer you will see three cars you can heist. Pick one of the cars to start the heist for that model. Heists consist of three steps: scope out, planning, and the heist. Each of these is a mission to complete.
