How to Get to Cayo Perico in Free Roam

Many fans of GTA Online have been wondering if the Cayo Perico island is available in free roam. The answer to this question is sort of. You can go to the island in free roam but the stuff you can do there is severely limited. If you want to know how to get to Cayo Perico in free roam you’ve come to the right place. Complete the Cayo Perico Heist

Before you can regularly access Cayo Perico in free roam you will need to do some legwork. The main thing you need to have completed is the Cayo Perico Heist. During this mission and its planning you will gather intel on the island, prep the heist, and then complete the heist. Once the heist is done you will receive a text message about returning to the island. This text message tells you that you can visit the island to watch the Keinemusik Beach Party whenever you’d like.

How to Visit Cayo Perico in Free Roam

Once you’ve completed the heist and unlocked the island it is time to visit it. To head to Cayo Perico whenever you’d like make your way to the Los Santos International Airport. There is a new marker on your map at the VIP Jets building. Go to this marker to trigger a short animation followed by a menu. On this menu select the Keinemusik Beach Party to fly to Cayo Perico.

What Can You Do in Cayo Perico in Free Roam

On the island you will end up on the west beach where to party is located. In the party there isn’t a ton to do. You can dance and listen to the Keinemusik if you’d like or grab a drink at the bar. These are pretty much the only activities you can do while visiting the island in free roam.

If you attempt to explore other areas outside of the gates you will be stopped by invisible walls. These walls come with a warning saying basically if you attempted to leave the party enough times the guards will throw you out. You can also leave whenever you’d like by approaching the jeep and interacting with it. This free roam inclusion is rather disappointing given the beach party area is only a small portion of the island, but it is what it is right now.
