How to Get the Dark Suit in Spider-Man – Black Cat Stakeouts Guide

There are a number of suits available to collect in the PS4’s Spider-Man. Some suits you earn from simply levelling up in the game, while others are a bit more involved. The Dark Suit is on the bit more involved side, but it is definitely worth the unlock. Below I will show you how to get the Dark Suit in Spider-Man.

Complete All 12 Black Cat Stakeouts

As you playthrough the storyline of Spider-Man, you will be contacted by an unknown number (during the Couch Surfing mission). This unknown number is Black Cat and she wants you to go to an address. At the address she gives you find a camera setup. To complete a stakeout, you need to find a Black Cat doll with the camera and take a picture of it. In the first stakeout the doll is in the slightly open door to the left. Each district has a Black Cat Stakeout(s). You need to complete all 12 of them.

Financial District (2)

: Look underneath this billboard to find the Black Cat doll.

: On the roof of this lower building is the Black Cat Doll in an open vent.

The Financial District has 2 Black Cat Stakeouts. To solve the Stakeout bordering Chinatown, look under the billboard that says “Get Into the Black” to find the doll. To solve the Stakeout located in to the south of the Financial District simply look at the roof of the lowest building (to your right) to see an open air vent with the doll inside.

Chinatown (1)

Look for an open sunlight on this roof to find the Black Cat Doll.

In Chinatown you will find 1 Black Cat Stakeout. This Stakeout is located to the north by F.E.A.S.T. The Black Cat doll in this Stakeout can be found in an open sunlight on the roof with the eyeball graffiti.

Greenwich (1)

Look for the rooftop patio on a building to the left of the camera’s starting position to find the Black Cat Doll in an open door.

There is 1 Black Cat Stakeout located in Greenwich. The Stakeout can be found to the south of the Police Station. To complete this Stakeout, photograph the Black Cat Doll that is in open door on the roof of the building slightly left of the camera’s starting position. There are a number of lounge chairs near the door.

Hell’s Kitchen (2)

: Look for the graffiti of a flying pig to find the Black Cat Doll.

: In the store window directly below you is the Black Cat Doll.

There are 2 Black Cat Stakeouts in Hell’s Kitchen. The first Stakeout is located directly west of the Police Station. To complete this Stakeout look for the the flying pig graffiti on the rooftop to your right. Beside the graffiti is an open vent and a Black Cat Doll. The second Stakeout can be found in the northern portion of Hell’s Kitchen. This Stakeout is completed by snapping a picture of the Black Cat Doll inside the Valeria NYC Fashion store display directly below you.

Midtown (2)

: Look for a mural of Black Cat. Beneath the mural is an open door with a Black Cat Doll inside.

: Look for the lowering building with the water tower on its roof. By the water tower is an open door with the Black Cat Doll inside.

In Midtown there are 2 Black Cat Stakeouts you need to complete. The first Stakeout is located in the southwestern corner. To find the Black Cat Doll at this location, look at the building slightly right of the camera’s starting position. There is an open door on its roof with a Black Cat Doll in it. The second Stakeout can be found in the northern section of Midtown. To solve this Stakeout look for the building with the water tower on it (down and to the right). By the water tower is an open door with the Black Cat Doll inside.

Upper East Side (1)

Look at the building beneath you to see a mural and an open door. The Black Cat Doll is inside the door.

There is 1 Black Cat Stakeout in the Upper East Side district. The lone Stakeout can be found in the northern region (north of the Police Station). To solve the Upper East Side Black Cat Stakeout, look down to the building directly below you. On the right side of the building’s roof there is a Black Cat Mural and an open door. Inside the door is the Black Cat Doll.

Upper West Side (1)

The Black Cat Doll can be found in an open vent in the building with the pool directly in front of you.

There is 1 Black Cat Stakeout in the Upper West Side. The only Stakeout in this district can be found slightly northwest of the Police Station. You will find the Black Cat Doll at this location to be on the rooftop directly in front of you. Look for an open vent and the doll is inside.

Harlem (1)

Look for the roof pictured here. On it there is a Black Cat mural on an open door. Inside the door is the Black Cat Doll.

In the Harlem district there is 1 Black Cat Stakeout to complete. This Stakeout can be found on the westside of the district. To complete this Stakeout look to the building along the road to the right. There is one with diamond graffiti on it. Beside the graffiti is a Black Cat Mural on an open door. In the door is the Black Cat Doll.

Find Black Cat’s Hideout

: Head down into the old train tunnel.

: Interact with the door inside this piece of art to access the Black Cat’s hideout.

: On the workbench inside the hideout is the Dark Suit. Interact with it to unlock it for Spider-Man.

After you complete all 12 Black Cat Stakeouts, you will unlock the side mission Cat’s Cradle. In this mission you will be tasked with finding the location of Black Cat’s hideout. To do this make your way to the west coast of the Upper West Side (there will be a quest marker there). Once at the location make your way inside the old train tunnels and open the door inside the dog’s mouth graffiti. Inside the hideout you can interact with a number of items Black Cat stole and also grab the Dark Suit on the workbench.
