How to Get the Banjo in Steal an Egg

Steal an Egg released a new update that added the Enchanted Forest area. This area is home to a new secret players can complete to earn a special Banjo and Banjo Egg. To easily complete this secret quest, use our how to get the Banjo in Steal an Egg guide below.

Warning! Before proceeding you need to ensure you have a speed of at least 50 billion. Otherwise you cannot do the Banjo quest.

Complete the Wisp’s Quests

If you have a speed of at least 50 Billion you will encounter an NPC Wisp in the Enchanted Forest. Speak to the Wisp to begin it’s questline. It needs you to help it grow bigger.

To complete the questline do the following three quests:

  1. Steal 20 Enchanted Forest Eggs
  2. Fuse an Enchanted Forest Animal
  3. Steal any Eternal Egg

Upon completing these three quests return the grown up wisp to the Enchanted Forest.

Enter the Enchanted Tree

Upon levelling up the Wisp and completing it’s quest you will unlock the Enchanted Tree in the Enchanted Forest.

Head past the boss and look to your right. There will be a door in a tree you can go through. Enter the tree to enter the Enchanted Tree.

Reach the Hidden Room in the Enchanted Tree

In the Enchanted Tree you will find a Net (you can pickup) and a few services tied to the Butterfly Event. To reach the special area go up the ramp heading up.

Make your way up the ramp to the spot shown in the first screenshot. Stand by the railing so you can jump and fall onto the ramp below.

On the lower ramp, walk to the very end. You will see void beneath you. Jump down into the void and a portal will take you to a new room.

Solve the Mushroom Puzzle

In the new room you will see five colored mushrooms in front of you. These mushrooms are a mini-game you must complete.

The mini-game is simple. It is a memory test like Simon Says. The mushrooms will glow in a certain order. You must remember the order and hit the mushrooms in the correct sequence.

Do it correctly five times in a row and the door will open, giving you access to a hidden lounge area with a band.

Speak to Jitterbug to Receive Banjo and Egg

Speak to Jitterbug to get your rewards.

In the lounge walk over to the band. Speak to the NPC named Jitterbug who is holding a banjo. Jitterbug will give a Cricket’s Banjo and the Jitterbug Egg.

The Jitterbug Egg can be placed in your pen to hatch a Jitterbug (Secret). Like other eggs you can use Mutations on it to increase its’ earning power before it hatches.

What to Do With Cricket’s Banjo

Cricket’s Banjo can be held like other items. When you hold it you will play music. This is not the only function of this item. It actually allows you to unlock a special location in the Enchanted Tree.

Head to the very top of the ramp in the Enchanted Tree. Here you will find a gap you can’t cross.

Hold Cricket’s Banjo by the gap to play a song. This makes a bridge appear, allowing you to reach the room on the other side.

Inside of the room you will find a co-op Fuse room. In this room you can fuse the Celestial Sunlion and Royal Skywhale together with another player’s.
