How to get Fishing Bait in Red Dead Redemption 2

In Red Dead Redemption 2 there are a number of activities for you to take part in when you are not out shooting people with your guns. One activity you may not know existed is fishing. To help you get started I will show you how to get fishing bait below.

Go to the Bait and Tackle Bait Shop

To reach the Bait and Tackle Bait Shop you are gonna want to make your way to the Lemoyne Region.The Lemoyne Region is located in the southeast corner of the map and it is home to the major town of Saint Denis. To get to Saint Denis, I recommend taking the train as it can be a bit of a journey. Regardless, make your way to Saint Denis then leave the town and head along the road going north. As you are heading north you will ride along beside lake Lagras. Near the top of Lagras there is a small peninsula/land. On this piece of land is the Bait and Tackle Bait Shop.

Bait and Tackle Items for Sale

The Bait and Tackle sells fishing bait and lures. These are necessary if you plan on catching any of the legendary fish that are out in the world. Here is what you can buy:

Bait:

• Crayfish: $0.25
• Live Crickets: $0.50
• Live Worms: $0.50
• Herbivore Bait: $2.25
• Predator Bait: $3.00

Lures:

• Lake Lure: $2.50
• River Lure: $2.50
• Swamp Lure: $2.50
• Special Lake Lure: $20.00
• Special River Lure: $20.00
• Special Swamp Lure: $20.00

Proper use of both the right lure and right bait are huge in attracting fish you are looking to catch. This is especially true if you are looking to catch any of the legendary fish that can be caught in RDR2.
