How to Fight Hemovorous in Borderlands 3
The first raid boss in Borderlands 3 has been released thanks to the Director’s Cut. This raid boss let’s you fight a new varkid enemy called Hemovorous the Invincible. Before you can fight this boss you need to complete a few simple quest steps (besides having beaten the game). Accept You. Will. Die. (Over and Over) Mission
When you are ready to start the raid boss fight in Borderlands 3 make your way to Sanctuary and head to ClapTraps’ room in the ship’s cargo area. Inside this room look on the table for a safe you can interact with. This interaction will bring up the quest information for the You. Will. Die. (Over and Over) mission. This mission says the following:
“Dust off your best varkid-swatting gear, there’s a new proboscis in town.”
Accept the quest to receive your next objectives. These objective are to Take Free Eridium (optional) and Go to Darkthirst Dominion. The free Eridium is inside the safe so grab it. Then proceed onto Darkthirst Dominion on Pandora in the Ascension Bluff zone.
Reach Quest Location and Enter the Darkthirst Dominion
The location of this raid boss is the north arena that has long been rumored to be the home of a raid boss. At this location there is now a gate you can go through that leads to the Darkthirst Dominion area. Entering this area triggers a new quest objective to fight the raid boss, Hemovorous the Invincible.
Defeat Hemovorous the Invincible
Inside the Darkthirst Dominion you will find an Ammo Dump, Dr. Zed’s Meds, and Quick Change station in the area called A Tithe for Blood. Prepare yourself accordingly then proceed further into the zone. Along the main path you will find a locked Eridium gate. To open the gate you need to pay 500 Eridium. Pay the fee then follow the path down until you reach the second area called The Gorging Gorge.
In this boss fight area there are a number of varkids around a mysterious egg. This mysterious egg contains the Hemovorous Larva. Attack the egg to free the Hemovorous Larva. To get Hemovorous the Invincible to appear keep attacking the Hemovourous enemy through Larva > Adult > Badass > Superbadass. After defeating the Superbadass Hemovorous the Invincible variant will appear.

Ive beaten the campain any have the dlc installed but when i go to the safe theres nothing to interact with. Idk if im missing something or what.
I killed him on my first attempt with my Moze, using the Beskar shield and Plasma coil (in rad mode) + cryo Soulrender. The loot was useless, Torque Company Man (which I won’t use) and an Ionic Disruptor sniper rifle. Meh. The fight was intense and fun, but the loot is certainly not worth the effort, and definitely not worth spending 500 Eridium on it again.
That’s what it seems to me. Bummed the loot isn’t very rewarding.
I soloed this thing before I realized it was a raid boss. Moze is so broken. <3 Corrosive railgun + eternal flame
