How to Access DLC items in Control
Control is a new title out of Remedy Entertainment. In this game you play as Jesse, a young woman who becomes the new Director of a strange agency in New York who must regain control from an otherworldly threat. If you preordered this title you will be owed a number of items. Check out how to access Control DLC items below.
How to Access Gear, Weapon Mods, Suits
If you picked up the Control Digital prior to release you will have unlocked a number of gear pieces to equip on Jesse. Those of you who picked the game up on PS4 will also receive a number of PS4 extras. Here’s how to access all of these items:
- The Urban Response Gear (Deluxe Edition): Cleanse the first tear in the Central Executive area and then interact with it again to equip outfits.
- The Tactical Response Gear (Preorder): Cleanse the first tear in the Central Executive area and then interact with it again to equip outfits.
- Crafting Resources Pack (Preorder): These crafting resources are automatically applied to your account. You simply need to play to the
- Rare Service Weapon Mod (PS4 Extras): Complete the Astral Challenge in the Director’s Office. Then you can equip the Rare Service Weapon Mod through the inventory screen.
- Rare Player Mod (PS4 Extras): Complete the Astral Challenge in the Director’s Office. Then you can equip the Rare Player Mod through the inventory screen.
- Astral Dive Suit (PS4 Extras): Cleanse the first tear in the Central Executive area and then interact with it again to equip outfits.

How to Access PS4 Themes and Avatar
PS4 owners also receive a number of Themes and an Avatar. These PS4 items can be accessed through the following settings on your PlayStation 4:
- Avatar: Profile > … > Edit Profile > Avatar. You should see a Control Avatar in your inventory.
- Themes: Settings > Themes. There are three themes to choose from: The Explorer, The Black Rock Quarry, and The Shifting Place (Deluxe Edition).
