How Long Does it Take to Beat Blasphemous 2?

The follow-up sequel to Blasphemous is finally out. In Blasphemous 2 players are once again venturing into Cvstodia to take on the Mircale once again. As players explore the world many are wondering how long the game is to beat. As a lucky player who got the game early, here’s a look at how long it takes to beat Blasphemous 2.

How Long is Blasphemous 2?

Before I can give you an answer to this question I first need to layout a few caveats regarding playtime. The first is that this is a challenging game that requires skill to beat. If you haven’t played the first game you may find Blasphemous 2 to be fairly difficult to get through. This difficulty will add hours to your playtime as you learn to ‘get good.’

The second caveat for total playtime revolves around completion and exploration. Blasphemous 2 is more non-linear than the first game which makes exploration more important. This is especially true for things like quests and secret finding. Whether or not you use guides for figuring out these things will impact your total playtime.

A decent player who is comfortable in this type of game, and plays it sans guides, will have no problem completing the main storyline in 15-20 hours. This is getting the base ending and some exploration completed. If you do everything the game has to offer like getting the true ending and completing side-quest, secrets, and unlocking all achievements this completion number jumps to 35-40 hours.

Now if you want to speed things up you could use guides to drastically shorten the game. Much of the time you spend will go towards exploration, reading lore, and figuring out what to do next. Guides will alleviate much of this work and shorten the game considerably.

As of October 31st there is additional content for Blasphemous 2 players can play. The Mea Culpa DLC and the True Torment both add additional time to the base game.
