Tower Shard Challenge
The Tower Shard Challenge is probably one of the easiest and least annoying of all the challenges, so I figured I would start there first. To access the Tower Shard Challenge, head to the pillar with tower in the background.
Once inside, you will be at the ruined tower. Here we learn what this challenge is all about, time travel!
The main mechanic here is using the masks scattered throughout the level. Focusing on the masks moves you between worlds (Dark/Light) which changes how the level is laid out.
Into the Tower
First things first let’s get into the tower. To do this, we need to switch to the light world. Start off by pushing the bridge down on the starting dock and heading to the center platform. Interact with the mask here and return to the starting docks, but head up the now fixed stairs towards the tower. Stop at the middle tower door and grab the shape on it.
Make your way past the tower itself and head to the other docks. Push down the bridge and head up to the mask. Trigger the mask here and head up into the now open garden gate. Activate the mask in the garden and go inside the Tower.
Shapes in the Tower
The first shape we have to grab in the tower is the one for the front Shape Gate of the tower. This can be found in the light version of the tower basement we access through the garden door. Look for a pile boxes and a the light shining on them makes the shape.
With the shape, head back outside into the garden and trigger the mask (dark). Head to the Shape Gate and open it. Make your way inside.
Inside the tower, we need to make the staircase so we can go higher. Line up your position as pictured above and focus on the staircase to fix it. Head up the stairs to the second level.
On the second floor, there is another Shape Gate. Focus the Shape Gate and let’s get started finding the three shapes.
Shape 1
Shift to the light world and look to the left of the stairs. You should see the arrow in the wall. You need to lineup more to the left then straight on in order to get this shape.
Shape 2
In the Dark World, make your way upstairs to the third floor of the tower. Enter the door at the top of the stairs and head onto the balcony. Look out to the poles with cables on them to find the first symbol.
Shape 3
In the light world, head upstairs and push down the bridge to the center platform with the mask on it. Stay in the light world and turn right before the balcony door (from Shape 2), open the door in the corner. Return to the mask on the platform and switch to the dark world. Run to the balcony and through the doors you’ve opened. Push the bridge down on the balcony here and use the mask to switch to the light world. Head back to the balcony and look for the shape in the wall.
With all 3 shapes in hand, switch to the dark world and head to the Shape Gate. Access the gate and head outside. Cross the couple of beams and make your way towards Dillon. This completes the Tower Shard Challenge.
