Fence Trinkets and Talismans in Red Dead Redemption 2
A Fence in Red Dead Redemption 2 is a good place to go to sell your stolen wares, but did you also know they sell powerful Trinkets and Talismans? That’s right, these slimy fellows sell items which can give you some pretty juicy buffs. Let’s take a look at the various Fence Trinkets and Talismans in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Trinket Recipes (13 Total Trinkets)
At any Fence you can make Trinkets using certain materials.
There are a total of 13 Trinkets you can craft at a Fence. These Trinkets all provide different buffs to your character and can prove pretty beneficial when you are out in the wild. Let’s take a look at each of the Trinkets powers and recipes below.
Beaver Tooth Trinket
Trinket effect: Permanently slows degradation for all weapons by 10%.
How to craft:
- 1x Legendary Beaver Tooth.
- $18.25.
Buck Antler Trinket
Trinket effect: Player receives higher quality skinned animal parts.
How to craft:
- 1x Legendary Buck Antler.
Cougar Fang Trinket
Trinket effect: Permanently increases player’s stamina experience bonus by 10%
How to craft:
- 1x Legendary Cougar Fang.
- $20.50.
Coyote Fang Trinket
Trinket effect: Permanently increases player’s Dead eye experience bonus by 10%.
How to craft:
- 1x Legendary Coyote Fang.
- $21.50.
Elk Antler Trinket
Trinket effect: Permanently increases the value of player’s looted money by 10%.

- 1x Legendary Elk Antler.
Fox Claw Trinket
Trinket effect: Permanently increases the time that Eagle Eye can stay active by 5 seconds.

- 1x Legendary Fox claw.
Lion’s Paw Trinket
Trinket effect: Permanently increases the player’s stamina experience bonus by 10%.

- 1x Lion’s Paw.

Moose Antler Trinket
Trinket effect: Permanently increases player’s health experience bonus by 10%

- 1x Legendary Moose Antler.

Panther’s Eye Trinket
Trinket effect: Permanently decreases the speed that the Dead Eye bar drains by 10% for 3 seconds.

- 1x Legendary Panther Eye.

Pronghorn Horn Trinket
Trinket effect: Permanently increases player’s stamina experience bonus by 10%

- 1x Legendary Pronghorn Horn.

Ram Horn Trinket
Trinket effect: Picking Creeping Thyme, Oregano, and Wild Mint yields 2x more herbs.

- 1x Legendary Ram Horn.
Wolf Heart Trinket
Trinket effect: Player can consume 2x more alcohol before feeling negative effects of being drunk.

- 1x Legendary Wolf Heart.
Tatanka Bison Trinket
Trinket effect: Permanently decrease the amount of melee damage received by 10%.
How to craft:
- 1x Legendary Tatanka Bison Horn.
Talismans (5 Total Talismans)
You can purchase different Talismans at a Fence. You will need to collect the required materials and pay a small fee to create them.
While Trinkets give you some interesting bonuses, Talismans are the big money (but also require more investment to make). There are a total of five Talismans you can create at a Fence. Here’s what you need to craft each one:
Alligator Tooth Talisman
Trinket effect: Permanently decrease the speed that the Dead Eye core drains by 10%.
How to craft:
- 1x Vintage Civil War Handcuffs.
- 1x Gold Jointed Bracelet.
- 1x Legendary Alligator Tooth.
- $40.00.
Bear Claw Talisman
Trinket effect: Permanently decrease the speed that the health core drains by 10%.
How to craft:
- 1x Silver Chain Bracelet.
- 1x Quartz Chunk.
- 1x Legendary Bear Claw.
- $34.75.
Boar Tusk Talisman
Trinket effect: Permanently decrease speed that the horse health and stamina cores drain by 10%.
How to craft:
- 1x Gold Earring.
- 1x Cobalt Petrified Wood.
- 1x Legendary Boar Tusk.
- $31.00.
Bison Horn Talisman
Trinket effect: Permanently decrease the speed that the stamina core drains by 10%.
How to craft:
- 1x Abalone Shell Fragment.
- 1x Silver Earring.
- 1x Legendary Bison Horn.
- $38.50.
Raven Claw Talisman
Trinket effect: Permanently slows degradation for all weapons by 20%.
How to craft:
- 1x Old Brass Compass.
- $29.00.
Equipping Trinkets and Talismans?
Both Trinkets and Talismans are applied automatically. You can equip Talismans for their looks though.
The short answer to this question is that you don’t. Trinkets and Talismans are passive bonuses which apply when the item is crafted (you can see your active perks under Start > Player > General/Health/Stamina/Dead Eye > Perks). With that said, you can equip Talismans via your Wardrobe. The Talismans you equip are purely for aesthetic reasons and do not change the passive bonuses you receive in any way. At the Wardrobe you can equip up to two Talismans at a time for fashion purposes.
