It’s that time of the year again when things get a little bit spooky! To get in on the festivities, Roblox’s Steal an Egg added a new Halloween Dimension in Update 9. It’s one of the biggest updates to date: three new biomes, 35 new pets, a new event currency, a questline, and a haunted train. Part 1 ran from October 17 to October 24, and Part 2 is live now. Below I walk you through everything in the Halloween Dimension of Steal an Egg.
How to Enter the Halloween Dimension

There is a new Halloween Dimension players can visit for a limited time via the portal in Spawn, beside the Trails Shop. Walk through it to reach a new Halloween-themed map.
One thing to know before you head over: you will need at least 2.5 million Speed to access the Halloween Dimension, so if the portal won’t let you through, train up your Speed first and come back.
The Three Biomes of the Halloween Dimension

The Halloween map works much like the normal map, with a few changes. There is still the day/night cycle and you can still steal eggs, but the map itself is way more open for exploration. You can go in all different directions — there is no fixed path, and eggs are scattered around the three named biomes, so exploration is rewarded. Each biome has six new pets to hatch from its eggs, for 18 biome pets in total.
Graveyard
The Graveyard is the first zone you reach and is full of mausoleums and tombstones. It is the home of the Pumpkin Collection Event — the big Pumpkin Altar here is where collected pumpkins get turned in (more on that event below).
Haunted Swamp
The Haunted Swamp (the Swampy Marsh) is where you will find the Ghost Fisherman and Echo the Ghost Dog, whose questline is the key to the Phantom Express. After completing Echo’s quest, you can also fish here with the Haunted Rod to earn Candy Corn.
Abandoned Manor
The Abandoned Manor sits at the very end of the main path, behind the locked Manor Gate. It is where the rarest Halloween eggs can be found — during a Blood Moon, secret Blood Moon Eggs spawn here, and stealing one is your shot at some of the rarest pets in the event.
Candy Corn: The Event Currency
In the Halloween Dimension, there are enemies roaming around that you can defeat with your Bat to earn Candy Corn. Candy Corn is the event’s currency and can be spent at the Halloween Dimension Shop. Here’s how you earn it:
- Defeat enemies with your Bat: 20 to 100 Candy Corn each
- Steal and return eggs: 100 Candy Corn per egg
- Fish in the Haunted Swamp with the Haunted Rod: 20 to 40 Candy Corn
- Win the Pumpkin Collection Event: 1,000 Candy Corn
Blood Moon
A Blood Moon is a random event. While it is active, Candy Corn drops from everything are doubled, so it is the best time to farm. Blood Moons are also when the secret Blood Moon Eggs spawn in the Abandoned Manor.
Halloween Dimension Shop

At Spawn in the Halloween Dimension, you will find the Halloween Shop by the giant pumpkin. This shop sells the new, limited-time Halloween Dimension Egg for 2,250 Candy Corn.
Pumpkin Collection Event
There is a random event called the Pumpkin Collection Event that can trigger.
While it is active, pumpkins spawn all over the Halloween Dimension. Compete against other players to collect the most pumpkins and take them to the Pumpkin Altar in the Graveyard.
Whoever collects the most wins 1,000 Candy Corn.
Halloween Robux Egg

There is also a new limited-time Halloween Egg you can buy from the Shop using Robux. This egg hatches Halloween-themed pets (12 in total) of different rarities, completely separate from the pets in the Halloween Dimension.
Every hatch from this egg also has a rare chance to trigger a Zombified Re-Roll, which re-rolls your hatch into a special Zombified version of the pet.
You can buy this egg from your avatar at Spawn or through the Shop button on the UI.
Echo the Ghost Dog Quest

Alongside stealing eggs, there are quests on the map to complete. The major one is Echo’s Memories: finding Echo the ghostly dog by the witch hut in the Graveyard and helping him recover four lost items he has forgotten:
- Old Collar — at the Phantom Express Train Station, across the tracks by a tree
- Chewed Bone — in the Swampy Marsh, by the rocks near the dock
- Stuffed Bunny (Mr. Squeaky) — next to the Pumpkin Altar in the Graveyard
- Old Photograph — by the Manor Gate, behind the rocks on the left
Return all four items and Echo will lead you to his owner, the Ghost Fisherman, who gives you the Haunted Rod. Use the rod at the glowing spot on the pier to play an underwater mini-game — avoid the hazards with your three lives and reach the treasure chest at the end to earn the Phantom Express Ticket. Our full Dog Quest guide walks through every step.
Phantom Express and the Spectral Mutation

Every 30 minutes, on the hour and the half hour, the Phantom Express arrives in the Halloween Dimension. Players with a Phantom Express Ticket can board it.

The train takes you to a special location, where you can pick up the Ghost Vacuum and suck up the ghosts there.
Sucking up ghosts earns you a currency called Haunted Spirits (Souls), which can be traded at the altar there for the Spectral Mutation item. The Spectral Mutation costs 500 Haunted Spirits and has a 25% chance of applying to the egg you use it on, so bank more Souls than you think you need.
