Where is the Backhand Blade in Shadow of the Erdtree?

To obtain the Backhand Blade, start by reaching the Realm of Shadow, which is the DLC area. To access this region, you need to defeat Mohg, Lord of Blood in the Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum. After his defeat, interact with the withered arm in the Cocoon of the Empyrean to be transported to the Realm of Shadow.

Once you arrive, obtaining the Backhand Blade is relatively straightforward. To find this weapon, start at the Three-Path Cross Site of Grace. From there, head east/southeast towards the monument marked on the map above.

Around the monument, you’ll encounter a group of enemies. You can choose to either take them out or ignore them entirely. Walk into the monument and search around the tomb. You will find the Backhand Blade there. Pick it up to add it to your inventory.

The Backhand Blade is an agile weapon weighing a mere 2.0 units. It scales with Strength (S) and Dexterity (D), requiring 10 S and 13 D for effective use.

You can upgrade the Backhand Blade at Smithing Master Hewg in Roundtable Hold like any other weapon. Achieving a full upgrade to +25 requires Smithing Stones and an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.

These blades feature the Weapon Skill: Blind Spot, which can be swapped for another Ash of War at Hewg or while resting at a Site of Grace. Additionally, the Backhand Blade supports both buffs and infusions to bolster its combat prowess.
