Dredge DLC The Pale Reach Arrives Next Week
The first official DLC for the beloved cosmic horror fishing adventure, Dredge, is scheduled for release on November 16th. The forthcoming expansion, known as The Pale Reach, introduces an entirely new ice-themed biome. Within this icy realm, players can engage in a fresh side-story alongside other additional content.
In The Pale Reach players will explore a new ice field littered location called The Pale Reach. This mysterious biome contains a frozen mystery under the ice and the intriguing tale of a missing crew that came before you.
The developers describe the DLC in a PlayStation Blog post as:
Dredge: The Pale Reach calls players to a new, frozen frontier—a pristine icy biome awaiting discovery by the most intrepid of explorers. Those who find themselves within this frozen expanse will embark on a journey through icy canyons, retracing the path of a long-forgotten expedition and unveiling the destiny of those who once ventured there. Journeying into the depths of this glacial biome will require players to upgrade their vessel, equipping it with specialized gear capable of smashing through the unforgiving ice.
In addition to the narrative adventure, players can delve unlock 4 new pieces of equipment. There are also 11 new fish and crab species to catch. A new ice block mechanic allows you to put your catches on ice to preserve them longer. You can also create a special boat add-on that will allow you to smash your way through ice you encounter.
The developers estimate that the DLC content will take players anywhere from 1-3 hours to complete. This expansion also includes 8 new achievements for players to unlock and will cost $5.99 / £5.99 / €5.99.
Dredge The Pale Reach will release on November 16th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam and GOG.
