Guide Notes:
- There are four romances available for you to pursue in the game.
- You can engage in multiple relationships simultaneously.
- Building relationships will unlock new locations where you can spend your time.
- Each relationship side quest culminates in a date.
‘Relations’ with Joytoys
If you’re looking for a quick and straightforward way to add a touch of romance to your Night City adventures, you can opt for a transactional approach. Throughout Night City, you’ll come across Joytoys stationed on various street corners, indicated by a lips symbol on your map and mini-map. These hireable NPCs are willing to engage in intimate encounters with you for a fee. For some uncomplicated enjoyment, approach a Joytoy and pay them a fee to initiate a night of lively and endlessly repeatable fun.
A One Night Stand with Meredith Stout
To initiate a romantic night with Meredith Stout in Cyberpunk 2077, progress through the main story until you reach “The Pickup” mission. During this mission, you’ll be contacted by Meredith Stout, a Militech agent. Meet her as instructed in the mission, and be sure to obtain the credit chip from her. What matters for the romantic outcome is how you handle the exchange for the Flathead:
- Option 1: Shoot Royce during the exchange and then fight your way out of the All Foods.
- Option 2: Give Royce the virus-laden credit chip without informing him about the virus. Do not crack the chip beforehand.
Selecting either of these two options will lead to a romantic encounter with Meredith. After completing The Pickup mission, you should encounter Meredith outside the All Foods. Conclude the mission with her, then wait for her to send you a message, alluding to a meeting. Agree to the meeting to start a side quest called “Venus in Furs“.
As you follow the quest markers, you will eventually arrive at the “No-Tell Motel.” Here, you and Meredith will have a one-night stand. After this encounter, you can acquire the potent iconic blunt weapon known as “Sir John Phallustiff.” Keep in mind that this weapon is replaced if you have the censored mode enabled in the game.
How to Romance Judy Alvarez
In Cyberpunk 2077, it’s important to note that Judy is a lesbian, and you can enter into a romantic relationship with her only if your V character has a feminine voice and body type.
Judy is one of the early romanceable characters you’ll meet in the game. She operates Braindance tech beneath a club in Kabuki, located in Watson. You’ll initially encounter Judy when you begin planning the heist for Dex/Evelyn, and she will guide you through how Braindance sequences work. After this initial meeting, you can pursue a romance with her. To romance Judy, make sure to complete the following steps:
- During the “Pisces” side quest, refuse Maiko’s plan and payment. Do not kill Maiko at the end of the meeting.
- During the “Pyramid Song” side quest, accept Judy’s requests to dive and stay together. You will have the opportunity to kiss Judy in the bathroom during this mission, so be sure to do so.
- In the morning after the events of the “Pyramid Song” quest, you can join Judy on the pier. Tell her that last night was “the beginning of something amazing” to initiate your relationship with her.
Following these steps will indeed lead to a fulfilling and romantic relationship with Judy, characterized by love and laughter. Furthermore, this relationship grants you certain benefits, including access to Judy’s apartment, which serves as a safehouse in the game.
How to Romance River Ward
It’s important to note that in order to initiate a romantic relationship with River Ward in Cyberpunk 2077, your V character should have a feminine body type.
River Ward is a police officer introduced during the “I Fought The Law” side mission, which you undertake for Jefferson Peralez. Upon completing this initial mission, you’ll unlock several side quests that can be completed with River. To pursue a romance with him, follow these steps:
- Save Randy during the side quest “The Hunt.”
- Convince him to spare Peter Pan.
- During the side quest “Following The River,” choose dialogue options that steer the conversation toward building a relationship.
- On top of the water tower, kiss him to trigger a love cutscene.
- In the morning, kiss him in the kitchen to further develop the relationship.
Once you are in a relationship with River Ward, you will gain access to his trailer as a personal apartment, and you will receive River’s Tank Top (Upper Torso) as a reward. With access to his trailer in the Badlands, you can return to speak to River about various aspects of life.
How to Romance Panam Palmer
It’s important to keep in mind that in order to enter into a romantic relationship with Panam in Cyberpunk 2077, your V character should have a masculine body type.
Panam Palmer, a Nomad character, is another option for romance in the game. You’ll first meet Panam during Act 2 in the mission called “Ghost Town.” After completing this mission, Panam will begin contacting you with side quests. To pursue a romantic relationship with Panam, follow these steps:
- Flirt with Panam during the “Riders On The Storm” quest.
- Choose to take her shoes off during a specific interaction.
- Put your hands on her thigh during a certain moment.
- Do not inform Saul about Panam’s plan during the “With A Little Help From My Friends” quest.
- When moving the locomotive, tell Panam that you’re doing it for her, not just for the money.
- Accept Panam’s offer of neural synchronization during the “Queen Of The Highway” quest.
Once you’ve completed the neural synchronization, you will be in a romantic relationship with Panam. This will grant you access to a tent in the camp as part of your relationship perks.
How to Romance Kerry Eurodyne
It’s crucial to remember that to initiate a romantic relationship with Kerry Eurodyne in Cyberpunk 2077, your V character must have a masculine body type and voice.
Kerry Eurodyne is introduced during Act 2 when you play through several of Johnny Silverhand’s memories. He is a member of Johnny’s band and serves as one of Johnny’s closest companions. As you progress through the main story, you will encounter Kerry and collaborate with him on various tasks. This collaboration will eventually lead to Kerry offering you a side questline, beginning with “Rebel, Rebel.” To romance Kerry, follow these steps:
- Attempt to kiss Kerry when he calls you to meet him during the “Off the Leash” side quest.
- After a beach scene with Kerry, be sure to select dialogue options that express your interest in him.
If you successfully pursue a romantic relationship with Kerry Eurodyne, you will gain access to his residence as one of the perks of the relationship.
How to Get a Romantic Moment with Rogue
In Cyberpunk 2077, Johnny Silverhand also has the opportunity to form a connection with the infamous fixer named Rogue. While it’s not a traditional romance, their relationship can be further developed through a series of side missions that start with “Chippin’ In” and lead to “Blistering Love” during Act 3 of the game.
In “Blistering Love,” Johnny and Rogue go to a drive-in theater where Johnny can make a move on Rogue. If you choose to kiss Rogue, you will witness a brief romantic cutscene. However, Johnny’s involvement with Rogue ends there.

Can’t believe I’m not allowed to romance Goro Takemura we made eye contact for longer than a second that’s gotta mean something c’mon…
It is kind of a letdown. Granted, both female options are attractive women, but it was hyped to be more developed than this. Maybe a patch or DLC later… And I want you to write more about romance I like to read your every article.
